Raw natural dried vetiver
This is just as described and is clean and dried to perfection. Nicely aromatic. Packaged well. Just what I'm looking for to make my own teas and tinctures.

Used for Cooking Authentic Mughlai (Awadhi/Lucknowi) Cuisine
Dried vetiver roots is also known as "khus ki jad" in Hindi and I bought this product for use in making authentic Lucknowi (Awadhi) "super masala mix" known as "Lazzat-e-Taam." I found a variation of the recipe from Chef Ranveer Brar. The product came packaged well and authentic product. I smell the "earthy vetiver" that is fragrant. Because I am using this for culinary purposes, when dry-roasting over low flame, the stronger vetiver aromas emanates.I would purchase from Yogi's Gift again. I highly recommend it.If you're going to powder this, my advise it for you slightly dry roast for a few minutes. You will need to grind them in ***small batches*** in your mixi grinder. Then, you will need to filter/sieve through for finer powder texture. Save in airtight container. The rest of the rough/tough fibers can be used in vetiver water to be sprayed around or discarded.

Tastes good
These vetiver roots make a very good tea. Its a bit difficult to work with them cause of the length and tendency to spring instead of breaking. It also takes a while to infuse for maximum flavor

The smell is amazing
Ok, I am a green witch and I use this for love potions and to root intentions. The quality is amazing, the smell is so powerful. You can create your own love/attraction oil with this root. You will get a lot of product.

It's good for most part. My only issue is that there were a lot of dusty roots which were not useful for what I needed it for.

Smells earthy and calms you!
I bought this to use for my herbal hair oil.It smelt so good as soon as I opened and it felt nice and calming. I heard that it’s a good scrub and so use a couple of roots on my hand and my skin felt good! Must try to all enthusiasts like me attempting to do things in a natural way. Good quality!

Smells like wet dirt!
If you were hoping to use this product for its aromatic and soothing properties, this isn’t what you need. Smells like dirt and is totally lacking even the slightest hint of vetiver aroma. A complete disappointment.😖
