This is a very sturdy and effective copy stand for digitizing images and small objects. It comes with an Allen wrench which is all the tools you need to put it together and two magnets to hold your images down. Your images are only as good as the camera that you use to take them. So the better quality phone camera you have the better quality your images will be.I would recommend getting a shutter release button so that you do not tap the camera when taking pictures. [Xenvo Shutterbug - Camera Shutter Remote Control - Bluetooth ].I called customer service and they addressed my issue of a missing magnet immediately by overnighting it at their cost of $10. Especially during the holiday times this was extraordinary customer service.

If you have essential tremor or any other tremor, then this is a must have product. In today's world, where all banking and other functions depend on your smart phone, if you shake you need this product.

I bought this product to deposit checks. It works great. Although the check deposit app asks me to get closer, it still goes through with not problem. I suggest they add an option to make the distance variable. I have it 4 stars just because it is overpriced, otherwise it is a five star product.

I'll be using this stand to digitize lots of old photos. I've done a few in the past by just holding the phone, and I thought this stand would give me more precise results.I was wrong.Other than the stability of the phone, it's not much better than just holding it over the photo. There is no vertical adjustment for the phone, so unless your photo is large, you're going to have to crop out the magnets and board. Or zoom the camera, which can reduce from image quality.Furthermore, the metal base with the grid lines, to which the magnetic strips stick to hold the photo flat, does not fit on the larger wooden base that supports the phone mount. It hangs off by about a centimeter. See my photo.The metal base slides around on the wooden base. Every time I change the photo, I have to reposition it to try to get the photo straight. I'm going to have to add some kind of guides on the wooden base to hold the grid in place--maybe a couple nails to to wedge the corner against. All of which begs the question--why is the metal plate not mounted on the wooden base permanently?The steady holder for the phone is slightly better than holding it by hand, so I'll muddle through after making my customizations. But I can't recommend this stand.

Worked exceptionally well!! Backed-up an old fading photo from 1998. And was able to see the faces very clearly once digitally captured. Easy to setup and use. Excellent results both using an iPhone 13 Pro max and a Samsung S23 Ultra.

Base could be a bit larger so an 8.5 x 11 would lay flat. Had to build a frame around the base. Otherwise, stand is good quality. Holds pixel 6 phone in otter case, no problem. Vastly improves photos of documents, photographs, and Id's. Definitely would buy again.

The item is over simplistic and cheap in its design.There are no locking mechanisms for any of the parts, so they can move freely.The pole is held by friction only, so any touch to the camera makes it swivel.The camera hangar is not perfectly perpendicular to the board surface, resulting in angle errors when shooting square objects where the top is shorter than the bottom, and since there is no locking position for the camera 1/4" screw mount, it can also pan and cause similar angular errors from left to right.The 'floating magnet board' only makes things worse, as every slight touch causes it to slide and move, and lose alignment once again.Might be OK for occasional amateur photos where accuracy is not important, but unsuitable where precision and repeatability are needed.

Incredible! This photo stand is super easy to use. Assembled and ready to use in under five minutes. Works great with my cell phone. It really sped up the photo-copying process. The lined grid makes it easy to get photos square every time. Also purchased the suggested lights to go with it-great suggestion! We have copied photos and certificates in the album or lose.
