HK Extended Tank Drain Assembly Kit with 10 Inch Braided Steel Hose 1/4 Inch Drain Valve and Elbow Fitting for Air Compressor

This is basically just a small kit of an elbow, a valve, a braided pressure hose, and an optional fitting size adapter. It also includes a roll of nylon tape for help with the seal, which is great to have just in case.Installation was simple - remove the existing (broken) valve fitting from my compressor tank with a wrench, then thread the new one in. All of the fittings this came with were pre-coated in thread sealant, so I didn't actually need the nylon tape they included. The ball valve seems to be solid enough, seals well, and moved smoothly.If there was any downside it's probably that it seemed like the pipe was a little small... and that mostly because it turned out my tank had a bunch of junk caked up inside which promptly clogged the pipe at the right-angle turn. Cleaning that out was simple enough, just annoying and is not this product's fault - it's my own for not having taken care of my compressor tank sooner.Interesting note - the nylon tape it came with seemed like nearly a full normal roll. When I've seen the stuff packed in as a bonus it's usually only a very small amount, so I'm certainly not complaining.

Definitely makes draining my compressor easier especially after lowering it on shorter rubber feet. The hose quality seems kinda cheap, time will tell how long it lasts. A mounting solution is important otherwise the hose can get a little wild while it's draining.

Fits 30 gallon craftsman air compressor perfectly! Makes draining the tank go from something that is a real pita to simple and easy. Totally worth the money for this drain, comes with thread seal already applied and plenty of thread tape. No leaks after install!

I just installed it on my California Air Tools 8010 Steel Tank Air Compressor removed the old drain valve and installed this assembly, perfect fit . Now I can drain the compressor with out having to lift the end to get to the drain valve. I should have done this a long time ago.

Excellent thread machining on solid brass. Braided hose weaving is flawless. Crimps are tight and even. Ball valve has Metal Flow Control inside instead of cheap plastic. When you turn the valve it's smooth but not loose. All top quality components and assembled with precision.
