5 Step Heavy Duty Anodized Aluminum Swimming Pool Dock Ladder FLIP UP

We really like the ladder (sturdy, easy to install and use) but after only two years one of the vertical pipes has split (see picture) and the warranty is only one year so the company is not doing anything for us. We keep the ladder out of the water whenever it is not in use. Not sure what caused the pipe to split.

I'm very satisfied with the ladder except for the flip up part. The ladder doesn't have enough room to clear the dock when you flip it up. It scapes the carpet on the top of the dock each time its flipped up. There were parts missing when I rec'd but not the seller's fault. Package was opened during shipment. Seller was very prompt in replacing the missing hardware.

Quality of materials is fine, but if you look at the down-position picture closely the back down tubes pinch the dock. There's no way that the back tubes can swing down, out and clear the dock so that the unit can flip up. I'll need to remount with spacers to provide enough clearance for the ladder to pivot freely. An email to the manager of Ortus asking for clarification went unanswered.

The directions were iffy at best and my dock is solid concrete, I bought 4 pvc pipe ends that raised the 4 pipe bases up 3\8" just enough to fix the rubbing issues that would have absolutely torn up the aluminum rails that some had talked about is the reviews. The ladder looks and performs [easy up and down] better than I hoped, outstanding.

The ladder has heavy duty tubes and wide steps. Easy to install. Works very good. Like the wide steps(easy on the feet). Instruction tool sizes were SAE, but bolts/nuts seemed to work better with metric tools.

We bought this ladder in 2016 and started using it in 2017. It has always been stored correctly and out of the water when not in use. At the beginning of this year we noticed that the handle has split. I reached out the Ortus Enterprises and they haven't responded respond. I would look for something else. A ladder should last more than one season of use.

This ladder was bought for a neighborhood lakeside swim dock. It is exactly what we were looking for. Very glad that the tubing was round instead of the square tubing. It makes pulling yourself out of the lake a lot easier. The shipment came early and it was easy to install.
