Q: We want to put one in a bird bath. Does anyone know minimum depth of water for the pump to work effectively.

l got it for my birdbath its great but the wind blows the water from the fountain spray all over the garden and you loose the water in the bird bath you could be okay if you dont have a lot of wind in your garden

Q: It says to immerse in water so do you have to weight it down or can it float on the water

Don't know why it says that but it just floats on the water and moves around in the breeze I suppose it's if people don't want it moving but if you weight it down to much it won't get the sun under the water it was a good little product for the money in fact have just got it out the shed to go in the pond this year

Q: Should it be a constant flow when suns out? My just does little splurts then stops then does it again

The whole of the panel has to be in the sun. Mine works well in full sun but once there’s a little shade on it then it just spurts.
