Lovely little project
Broke my ramen bowl as I was hangry.. made it worse!Didn't want to throw away the bowl so got this to fix it. Was easy to use. Instructions were good, had to reread them a few times to make sure I was doing it correctly. Was a lovely little project, had to work fast but was nice that it included small bowls to practice. They look cute as jewelry bowls!Only thing is, I wouldn't eat out of the bowl incase the glue and gold powder came through to the food. Which is a shame. Doesn't say it on the package that you shouldn't eat from a bowl with it in.

Perfect gift idea
Bought this kit a few months ago and just getting round to doing it now as I'm off work with covid. This is a great kit and the products provided are value for money, I wasn't expecting to break the lovely bowls myself! But it just added to the fun. It's easy to mix the glue and powder but it sets really quickly so I had to mix more for all the breaks and then it dried too quickly on the bowl before I could get it in place so it's not perfect but... That's the point right?! This would make a great gift for someone who needs to learn the value of imperfection! (I can think of a few...)I'm excited to go break more stuff now, Ming vase says whaaat...

this kit contains super glue
I really liked the small bowls for practice, the packaging, the gold colouring and the speed of delivery.I was a bit disappointed that the kit contained superglue, I don't know quite what I expected! The small applicators for the glue were a bit fiddly and as the glue dried very quickly once mixed, it was a race to use as much as possible before that happened. If I had had a bigger project to mend I would not have had enough glue.I think the instructions should be more specific and say 'mix glue in small quantities to apply little and often as the glue dries very quickly once mixed'. Overall I liked the result but as this was my first attempt at Kintsugi it does look very amateur.

Great kit
Got it as a gift to fix some broken objects that had sentimental value, really easy to use and looks great.

Good way to get into Kintsugi but flawed
First off, its a great idea, I will 100% be doing this with other objectsThe bad part is the methods it tries to use for this:Breaking -Before I was to break it, I was thinking that I've seen bowls and plates break, they shatter everywhere so was intrigued on how the method outlined would stop that. Spoiler it didn't. The first bowl shattered so all the pieces were equal and the bottom disintegrated, glue wasn't helping that and the end product looked boring. Second bowl I hit on the side instead of the bottom and got two massive pieces and the rest disintegrated again. I'm not sure why the kit doesn't provide a broken item but in equal parts from the get go. A larger item rather than 2 bowls would be more enjoyableGluing:I use epoxy a lot for miniature building however, it's normally not visible at the end so was intrigued on how it would explain on how to get clear neat visible lines. It don't, the first time around, it looked like id just glued it back together. There isn't any instruction to how much glue, how much powder just "a line". I added more glue to the next fix and then glue poured out leaving a fixed bowl crack with some seeped out gold glue. I'm bewildered why it doesn't use epoxy putty instead and a gold metallic paint instead as that is easier to control for beginners, it would leave clear lines and means you don't have glue everywhere.Good intro to realise what it is and how it works but for beginners is just frustrating

Nice idea, but the glue wasn’t great.
Cute kit, I like that it came with bowls and a cloth to wrap them in to break them. However, the glue syringes didn’t dispense evenly, which resulted in it sometimes holding but sometimes not. It ended up really thickly spread in some areas and not others, so the result was very wonky. The little plastic spreader also quickly got caked with glue. Also the gloves were huge on my hands so when they got sticky it was really hard to control what I was doing.Would have been better with vinyl gloves that are easier to work with when sticky. The mixing card was a nice idea but didn’t work so well in practice.I also can’t figure out how to contact the seller for a refundWas a lovely idea, but unfortunately only 1 star as the glue is the most crucial part and it was so hit and miss!

Looks good!
Been wanting to try this for a while, Aldi smiley plant pot got smashed so opportunity found. The included 'glue' was a little hard to use as the double pusher didn't move evenly. However, adapted to that quickly and mix was clearly sufficiently even to set effectively. I'm sure I could have got the finish more tidy with practice but couldn't bring myself to smash the test pots and my project was only a fiver from Aldi when I bought it. Outcome - Aldi smiley pot now has a Ziggy Stardust vibe and daughter has two new pots for mini succulents. Very happy.

Bought a few now!
Sadly I often break ceramic items in our house and these kits are my 'go to' when I break something. I love the meaning behind Kintsugi and not only buy sets for myself to use but also recommend this product to friends who have also broken items. Easy to use and good instructions. Plenty of product to use for larger items too.
