They work well on solid wooden legs or similar as they are very soft /flexible, but will not work on open bottom steel legs as the fiber/cork pad is 1 1/4 inches square and so smaller than the open bottom leg it is supporting. Inside dimensions are 1 1/8 inches square measured at the lip which is 1/8 inch by 1/8 inch at the top. So it creates a ridge around the inside of the cup. Inside dimensions below the ridge is 1 3/8 inches square. That is most likely why you get various dimension remarks.

Much better than those cheap sticky round pads that just come off and gather dust. These just slip on and work great. The reason for 4 stars is my chair has more of a triangular shape legs rather than square and these are really made for square legs, so the fit is not real tight. Make sure you measure your legs first for proper sizing.

Good product. Easy to install and they actually stay on the legs. With wood floors we have replace many self stick pads and I hope to never have to use them again. This product is more visible but it is very effective

Not the most attractive solution, but the best we've found so far! We inherited some chairs, that while otherwise very nice, presented a hazard to our wide pine floors as they sit on the inside corner of square tapered legs. Felt pads were not helpful, as they didn't really make contact with the floor when placed on the flat surface on the bottom if the legs, and wouldn't remain in place otherwise. These do the job beautifully and allow the chairs to glide nicely without gouging our soft wood floors. The square chair legs measure 1.25 in. at the bottom and flair slightly as they go up. These caps fit them very securely and don't seem like they'll need too much minding to stay put. Very satisfactory solution.

As advertised they look like great floor protection, even an easy fix as they wear out. Unfortunately they are to large for my chair legs. Would be great on something about an inch across.

I kept having to throw away felt rounds and the sticky part kept leaving marks on floor. I knew there had to be something better to prevent from scratching my floors and awful sound as my bar stools were being moved... These are the perfect solution & work great! They’re definitely noticeable but it helps from the awful dragging and scraping noise! Unfortunately, my legs did my bar stools are two different sizes so had to get two different sizes. Works well especially considering I have niece and nephew that try to drag on floor.

The description states 38x38x33 mm. 38 mm = 1.496 inches. However, the product I received is only 1.25 inches. Sadly, because they are so much smaller than described, I have no choice but to return them.

I previously used Furniture Feet on some barstools that had square feet and just forced th round kind on them, they lasted about a year and started cracking. I saw these an decided to try them, they do not fit as snuggly as the Furniture Feet did but they work great and have not been falling off and they have been on for about 2 months now. They are on our barstools which don't get pulled out and used everyday but on average every other day. They are working great!

Used for chair legs. Important thing is that these were the only ones I could find that were size 38. All the others were 3.5 or 4.0 I was smack in the middle.Product arrived in 18 hours! Were fitted in 10 minutes on 6 chairs. Brilliant. Will definitely buy from these chaps again. It is an important point that my chairs are Chinese design and the legs are an odd shape ie: Square at bottom 3.5cm and rising one inch at an angle to 3.8. I took a gamble on whether the would fit because of odd shape but Voila! They slid on easily and stayed on. lovely sliding along my flagstones and very quiet! Thanks very much Mike

Good quality, but size is big for my chair.

I have not used these. I tried them on different legs and they did help with movement over the floor but they are quite ugly. They are meant to cover a range of sizes of chair leg and they might look better if they fitted exactly.
