Fun!
I bought this to look up the different wildflowers on our property. I love it! I go hunting for new flowers so I can look them up and find out more about them. The National Audubon Society Field Guides are always high quality - with great pictures and descriptions. The "plastic" cover is also a blessing so you don't have to worry about dirt or moisture. I only regret not getting it sooner!!

Great book, Amazon should ship better to protect them
The book is great, Amazon didn’t ship it well, it came with some damage on the corner. Inspect it well when you receive it.

Love these field guides.
Had to add this one to the collection. The insect and bird ones are my favorites. You can learn a lot from these!

Very useful, informative and well organized.
This little book has a ton of useful information. I like the way it's organized (by color) the author was pretty creative on that one. A real, in color photo of each plant and a brief description about the plant and where to find it. Leave it to the Audubon Society to come up with a real winner.

Great Resource Book on Wildflowers
This is a must have resource book for beginning to understand and identify Wild flowers...Although it is not the final chapter in identification it sure will get you started and is easy to follow and categorize. The images and corresponding icons flow brilliantly for ease of identification...Fits nicely in the Saddle Bag or field pocket of and explorer jacket and is very durable and colorful...I carry it every time I saddle up in the high country of the Cascades...to the deserts of the northwest...Photographer William J. Great for general curiosity
This book is great for those who like to know what they're looking at when they're out on a hike away from home. Since it covers the entire western U.S., it won't have every single flower you come across, but it can often help you get at least to the right family. I have a book that covers every single plant that I could come across right around where I live, but when I go more than a couple hours from home, this is a fun book to have. Great pictures, and great info on each plant in the back.

the best field guide to western wild flowers I have found.
The colour photographs are excellent as is the organization of the plants by colour, and flower type. The descriptions are good. It would be extremely helpful if drawings or photographs of the entire plant from ground up were included; then the overall shape and proportions of the plant in its entirety and the proportions of flower to plant could be understood. It would be nice if recognition of the plant before and after they flower could be referred to. Nevertheless, for a photographic resource of western wildflowers, it is excellent.

Great Pictures
I wanted a book to identify plant life in the area I live in. This book has great pictures which are sorted by flower colors to make it easy to find and identify. I especially like the smaller size of the book as well as the durable cover. Would purchase any of the Audubon Books again.

My grandson really liked the way it was put together.
it is a great book. It was a Christmas book for my grandson i university it arrived within the time estimated, but didn't realize it may not arrive before Christmas. Happily he was still in town when it came.

Not enough flowers listed
I bought this for my son's birthday and we went right out and found about 10 wildflowers. Came home to reference and most of them aren't even listed. Found a different guidebook to use instead. Wouldn't recommend!
