Work great!
I got tired fighting with my different trailer safety chains to hook up to my 2019 F-350 so I thought I would try these. Having read several comments I was concerned about how hard the would be to install. In fact I waited some time to do the actual install after they arrived. I actually found these extremely easy to install after spraying some Kroil on the pins. After a few strikes with a normal size hammer the links were installed with no problems.I really like the black finish as it doesn’t stand out as other links do. The finish wasn’t the best but hey, these are hanging from my hitch and are going to get scratched. I personally like a more subtle look for something dangling from the back of my truck. Keep in mind that you won’t be taking these off, without some serious work, between hooking up trailers. So in other words, once installed they are not coming off.I would highly recommend these links if you are tired of fighting with hooking up safety chains to your truck. I. Super easy to install, look nice and work great.

Great Product. Hard to install.
This is a great product but hard to install. A hammer and board just would not work on my 2021 F-350. The instructions and pictures showed these being installed with a hammer and board. I am guessing that the position of the chain connector link on the F-350 just would not allow this to work. However, I used a cinder block, a piece of 2" x 6" board, a free-standing vice, and a 3' piece of pipe. I placed the vice on top of the board which was on top of the cinder block. I used WD-40 on the bushings. I hand tightened the vice to get the pin and bushing in place. I used the 3' piece of pipe to tighten the vice until the pin went all the way through the bushing and the other piece of the link. It worked like a champ. The chain connector links do not make any noise that I can hear during normal driving.

Happy
I installed this on my 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0. This took me about 20 to 30 minutes to install by myself. I used a 3lb mini sledge hammer 10” total length. I didn’t do any grinding, sanding, lubricating, heating or freezing. Just blunt force. I will say I lost a little skin and meat on a knuckle on one of the swings lol. Overall I’m happy with the install and the product itself even though I haven’t used it yet. It seems very robust and capable to me. Just make sure to get everything lined up right and it isn’t that difficult. If it’s not lined up it’s going nowhere. Have a blessed day.

Great Coupler Rings
I gave it one star for installation because following the install instructions for my 2022 F250 would not work. Well let me say I could not get it to work, maybe others had no issues. What I did to install was, I but a vise on a floor jack, raised it up, placed the coupler/Pin in the vise, got a bar for leverage and squeezed the pin in. It was actually very easy. I wish I took a pic.Other wise couplers work great. They do not bang around

Great product and great company
AutoHauler Supply shipped these across the country from Texas to Maryland quicker than I expected. The packaging was great, and it was put together with care. The instructions were clear. I expected these would be tricky to assemble. Persistence paid off, and I had them installed in about 45 minutes. Half of this time was spent trying to hammer them together. I failed miserably using that method and resorted to using a clamp. I lubricated the locking cylinder and used a clamp to push the pin through the assembly. Also, I used two big wrenches on the clamp to steady it and give me leverage. Those wrenches made the job easier. Thanks AutoHauler for the great product and service.

Easy Install, looks great.
I saw all the reviews about a difficult install so I was expecting a real pain on my 2017 F250. It turned out to be really easy. I just took a 2.5lb sledge and started hammering. After nearly crushing a finger, I decided to hold the pin with a set of pliers instead and keep my fingers out of harm's way. I held the entire assembly snug against the back of the tow hitch with the pliers. About 5 hits later it was installed perfectly. Couldn't have been easier, 1-2 minutes per side. Fits and looks great.

Perfect fix for the Superduty
My RV safety chains wouldn't fit my Superduty receiver. The 9k lb shackles at Harbor Freight didn't fit right. Then I found these. Perfect solution. Installation was not as easy as I hoped it would be, takes two people or one person with super human dexterity to keep the hammer locks braced while beating the piss out of the locking pin. The trick seems to be bracing the hammer lock while hammering the pin. The second hammer lock install was indeed easy.

Beautiful hammerlocks on 2019 Ford F250
Can't believe Ford screwed up this hitch attachment so bad.I had originally ordered the other listing for these by the same company, luckily they allowed me to send them back because they had a horrible maroon finish. Black/red/silver (galvanized) would be awesome. Maroon is a horrible color; doesn't match anything. These are very nice. A very nice bright red.How I installedChucked the pin in a drill and polished half of the pin with 120 grit sandpaper.used kroil (super lubricant) on the sleeves of the bushinggreased the inside holes where the pin goes, just so they never squeakgreased the inside of the bushing, and the pin.It takes quite a bit of force to get them started. After they were started only took 4 or 5 good hits to get them completely installed. I recommend squaring them up with the back of the hitch (shown in pictures) to support the backside while you pound the front with a sledge hammer. You definitely need a sledge hammer.
