Too subtle. It was subtle when I first used it, but it got weaker pretty quickly. I really wanted the clove scent. I would get something better next time.

Clove Bud essential oil is good for gum irritation and tooth pain. I have a temporary crown in that has caused me a lot of problems because it allows food to get down in between my teeth. So finally after getting a professional dental kit to remove the food I was able to find some relief.Only problem is my gum around the tooth was really inflamed. I remembered that clove oil was good for tooth pain and it is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. So I put a few drops of this oil on my gums and tooth and it numbed the pain and helped the inflammation go away fairly quickly.I would however not use this long-term if a tooth needs a filling! It is really temporary relief for a few hours. Please consult with your dentist or doctor before using. I find it is helping me survive until I can get my permanent crown.Do not however get this on your face while putting a few drops on your tooth and gums. It is a fairly strong essential oil and will cause the skin to redden as I found out when I accidently got some on my face. I would therefore not recommend this in massage oils or for skin application.~The Rebecca Review
