The original rubber O-ring base will dry-rot after a years of use. This is understood. This replacement ring is identical to the original one (except in color, the replacement is charcoal/black) that came with the unit. All you need to know is that removing the original dried-out part can take as long as an hour and is best done with a flexible paring knife plus some "Goo-Gone" to remove the remaining residual dried out adhesive. The best adhesive to use to attach the new part in the (hopefully) cleaned mounting channel is with a tube of "Gorilla (brand) Clear Grip Glue". A 3-Ounce tube (you'll use less than half a tube) is available at places like Home Depot, Lowe's or online. The remaining glue stores well and works great on repairing the loose soles on your running shoes. Once the old O-ring is removed and the channel cleaned...it's very easy to add the glue and seed the new, replacement O-ring.

My foot ring wore out crumbbled and fell apart...... Well I guess after 30 years it was a great ride. This looked like the exact ring I was trying to replace. I wondered after 30 years just what kind of quality I would get. I can not tell you how EXCITED I was to see the twin brand new and in shape when I opened this up. I had to peel off the bits and piece's the sadly worn old one and scrape out the stuck pieces. SOOOOOOO Happy that this was a PERFECT FIT it lined up to the holes set well into the ring that housed it. The old screws were able to be screwed down to the original height and most of all my dancing juicer has now settled to just one spot not moving as I juice away. THANK YOU for giving this trusted old juicer a stable base again!!

On the suggestion of another reviewer, I purchased this ring to replace my worn out, ugly, crumbling foot ring. My juicer is an Acme Juicerator 6001 and it's still going strong since I purchased it in the early 1980's. The old ring wasn't level and this past year of use was a pain in the butt, as the juicer went out of balance more than usual. I use it mainly for making juice from my home grown apples.My husband removed (scraped out) the old foot ring which actually had excellent glue and glued the new one in. I haven't used the machine yet since replacing the ring, but it fit perfectly and is level again. My husband even put a level on it to check things out. I'm super happy that I can still use the juicer! YAY!!

The juicer this ring is for is quite expensive and the first thing to go on it, (after over 20 years) was the foot ring. I was so glad to find this available to purchase! My juicer now retails for $450.00 so I certainly did not want an old foot ring to keep me from being able to still use it.

Easy to install, it looks like there are holes for screws but you actually just pop it in the bottom of the juicer. This keeps the juicer from moving around while it's running, which the worn out old foot ring didn't do anymore. A great deal, this (and a new blade) makes my 1990s Waring Pro Juicer work like new again.

The new ring is firm but spongy. Once you get the old one on (mine was stuck from having been on there so many years) you just put the new one in its place. There are no screws but some posts it fits over. That is about it - done!
