Replacement Cable Compatible with Hifiman Sundara, Arya, Ananda, HE4XX, HE-400i Headphones - 3.5mm/6.35mm to Dual 3.5mm Connector Jack Male Cord 3m/10ft

I have previously purchased this brand of wire for my Sennheiser HD 599s. I decided to go ahead and buy them again for my sundaras this time, and again even though I have just purchased this on the 13th - the same quality seems to be there. Time will obviously tell if they last. For £11 I feel like its worth it, especially since the length of cable is longer than the original cable that comes with the sundaras, and I needed that!

Well what do you know? I'm not sure if this review signifies what outstanding quality this replacement cable is or what dire quality the stock cable is by Hifiman, perhaps something involving both. I bought this as I couldn't find many reasonably priced replacement cables out there, they were all in the region of £80 and I just wanted something to see me through until I find a real lifelong investment. My Hifiman cable is far too short and as such snagged on a piece of furniture. They were never the best cables anyway, sound came through quite dull and a little lacklustre. Did an AB comparison with these on receipt and have to say there is a marked improvement. These are far cleaner, there's none of the background noise like on the originals, plus they delivery slightly higher volume. They're a bit more airy, in a good way, there's just a little more life in the sound. I'm quite gobsmacked really, for the price it's an absolute no brainer. They appear to be well made, the sheathing on the main cable is that high durability coarse polyester wiring that you find on cheaper cables, cheap but undeniably robust. The joins appear really well done and secure, the included 3/4" adapter is even nice quality and quite a surprise at this cost. All in all, don't hesitate, if you need something quick and painless, these will improve on the stocks, I almost say that with certainty unless I had a compromised cable out of the door.

I recently had to replace my everyday headphones HiFiMan HE400i with a pair of HiFiMan Sundara’s. I was hoping that the stock cables supplied would be better than those supplied with the 400i’s. The Stock cable supplied with the speakers was only OK feeling like surgical tubing, well made connectors but just too short to be of any use if you wanted to sit and listen via headphones. More importantly the supplied connectors sounded terrible. The new replacement cable has no signal drop out from poor cable joins internally. Best of all the sound is a immediately better than the stock cords. The sound is much tighter overall, bass is deeper and the treble is much cleaner and crisper. These replacement cables are well made and 3 metres is a sensible length. The textured braided cable is well made. You can sit and listen with the risk of pulling your headphones off! The connectors are sturdy and fit both the headphones and amplifier tightly. The only draw back with this cable is that it is a little stiff and has a tendency to kink if not allowed to unravel occasionally. A sensibly priced everyday cable which sounds OK and does the job. Worth buying

I ordered this cable primarily because it’s longer than the Hifiman HD400SE stock cable, which is so short it catches on anything in its path. I was also curious about the glowing reviews, some of which paint this very cheap cable as a significant upgrade. Having just plugged it in and listened to a few familiar tracks, I can confirm this cable is cheap, long, and way better than the Hifiman-supplied cable. The HD400SE is sometimes criticized for its shallow sound stage, compared to pricier siblings in the range. I must admit the HD400SE are the most expensive headphones I ever owned, so the depth and width of the sound stage sounded good to me. Now it’s even wider, instrument separation is greater and I was able to dial the volume back a few notches. If the improvement is this good on the first listen, I have no doubt other qualities will become obvious with burn-in. I confidently recommend this cable as an essential upgrade for any Hifiman owner who suspects their supplied cable is holding their headphones back.

I am old, I have old ears. To me they sound terrific. Not quite equal to my stereo, but I prefer a more open sound.

Bought for my Hifiman Sundara, it's long enough to allow me to sit several feet away from my hi-fi system (unlike the stock cable). The cable sleeve is rubber from each earcup to the point where they join and then it continues as a tough braided sleeve - this section is not microphonic so you won't hear anything if it moves about and makes contact with furniture and so on (unlike a single braided sleeve cable I'd bought for my Sennheiser HD558 cans some time ago). Sound quality seems every bit as good as the stock cable so I think this replacement is good value for money.

Sadly there is an alignment problem inside the 6.35mm Jack causing no signal to the right channel.

Ich habe dieses Kabel als günstigen Ersatz für das transparente Originalkabel meines Ananda V1 gekauft – und bin ehrlich überrascht, wie gut es ist. Klanglich kann ich absolut keinen Unterschied feststellen – es steht dem Original in nichts nach! Das Kabel ist etwas fester als das originale, aber trotzdem noch sehr flexibel und angenehm zu verwenden. Die Verarbeitung wirkt durchweg solide: Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die schöne Ummantelung im schwarz-roten Gewebe und die stabilen vergoldeten Stecker. Die Feder am 3,5-mm-Stecker ist ein schönes Detail – sie sorgt für zusätzlichen Knickschutz und sieht dabei noch edel aus. Die MMCX-artigen Stecker zu den Kopfhörern sind deutlich mit „L“ und „R“ beschriftet (siehe Bild), sodass man nichts verwechseln kann – das schätze ich sehr im Alltag. Auch der Schraubadapter auf 6,3 mm sitzt fest und sicher. Für 14,99 € absolut empfehlenswert – wer ein Ersatzkabel für HiFiMAN sucht, bekommt hier eine wirklich gute Alternative mit durchdachten Details. Warum hört man dann manchmal doch Unterschiede? Es gibt 3 typische Gründe, warum Leute glauben, ein Kabel würde den Klang ändern: 🔹 1. Psychologische Wahrnehmung (Placebo-Effekt) Wenn man 30 € oder 100 € für ein "Upgrade-Kabel" ausgibt, erwartet man eine Verbesserung – das Gehirn „füllt den Rest aus“. 🔹 2. Mechanische Unterschiede (Kontaktprobleme etc.) Billige Kabel (vor allem mit Adapter) können: nicht richtig sitzen → Kontaktprobleme, Wackler (z. B. nur ein Kanal spielt) hohen Übergangswiderstand haben → minimaler Pegelverlust oder verrauschter Kontakt 🔹 3. Technisch falsche Kabel Z. B. ein unsymmetrisches Kabel an einem symmetrischen Ausgang, oder falsche Impedanzanpassung, kann zu hörbaren Effekten führen.

Cela fait un an que je l'utilise, le câble fait vraiment le taf et je peux vraiment en profiter dans sa version 3m piur écouter de la musique sur mon téléphone ou jouer sur le PC à des jeux solo. La qualité de fabrication est très correcte et les connecteurs restent même si je tire le casque, rien à redire. Je valide 👍
