Hands free calling is awesome
Installed this individual mic with 3 different headunits and each one worked perfectly with it: all pioneer headunits, but it worked very well and I asked my phone call participants if they could hear my voice clearly. Very cool little instrument and super easy to install, just plug and play in the back of the stereo. Fits well on my dash, I just use adhesive to get it to stick. Value and quality for the price I would recommend to anybody who wants to take calls in the car

works perfect
Ever since I put it in my 2009 Chevy Silverado, I’m able to talk in my Truck without holding it in my hand the quality is good It was easy to set up worth the money. The Cord was perfect

Works with my AVIC-8200NEX
I am using this microphone with my AVIC-8200NEX. It works and I was told it sounded fine over a voice call.I completely disassembled mine down to the tiny microphone inside and some of the attached wiring. I put the bare microphone in the same spot as my car's original piece, excluding the car's mini microphone circuit board. For those who care, I measured the resistance with my multimeter before installing, 1325 ohms.

Mount breaks
It’s a great microphone clear as day for calls. Only thing that was bad is the mount. It was easy to put on but after hitting it once with your knee it’s done for.

Worked perfectly
I have an older Porsche which has an older head unit that does not have a built in Mic. This mic worked as designed and the sound quality was excellent.

This is a 3.5mm mic
Looked to be good, but is the larger 3.5mm input. No adapter or anything to make it work. Wildly frustrating since I had to tear the whole dash out to get to the input on the stereo. Double check on arrival to ensure size is correct before jumping into the work like I did :( Was in there to do a backup camera as well, but wanted to get it all done at once.

UPDATE-Can make & take phone calls again! High sensitivity! Mine picks up lots of background noise.
UPDATE "the seller was contacted" They were very nice and quickly sent me out replacements for the foam wind screen. It did not help to get rid of the "background noises or echo. ( As I suspected it would not, but hoped it would.) But people can understand me even with the background noise, and the initial echo that the receivers of the calls get. I've only tested on that echoing twice. but both numbers I called said the echoing went away after they spoke to me twice in during the call. But very annoying for them at first. (I don't know how it is. I have never been on the receiving end.) Could the echoing be a "phones thing" or a combo of phones and microphone? So There Is Something Good! I get to make and take calls in the car again!Maybe I got a defective one. Who knows... My Car stereo receiver unit does have some surprisingly extensive, impressive sound processing built into it. It may be somehow monitoring the echo and and canceling it out for the receiver of my calls after they speak a couple of times? I don't know if you will have the same results. The "Seller" was prompt in replying to my questions on this issue and my missing foam wind screen. They quickly acted to try and solve/satisfy my issues with the microphone. I like that. I am just wondering if I got a defective mic, or if this is just the way they all perform? The Original microphone with the car stereo worked Amazingly well. Like you were on the phone sitting in a quiet room. So people immediately notice the difference. But if you need a new mic for your car's phone link system. You might as well give this a try? Maybe it will work better for you? Maybe mine is defective? they will work with you and you can always return it if it does not work out for you. For "Ten Bucks" you can probably be making and taking calls again! PEOPLE CAN HEAR And Understand What I am Saying.let me know if you have found a '$10 Buck" mic that is does no pick up a bunch of back ground noise or echo at all. :-) And let me know what it is. ;-)Good and Bad with this mic. What I like... I Can Make And Take phone calls in the car again! But it is noisier/pics up "all" back ground noise, than my Pioneer factory car stereo microphone! But People are currently saying they can understand me even with the "back ground noises", ( I have not used it much yet)With the pioneer factory mic. people did not know I was driving my car and talking to them. They would think I was just at home talking on the phone. This mic is about the same length as the Pioneer factory mic. But it is a Fatter Capsule. (It is still a small microphone) The microphone cord is also thicker sturdier than the original microphone, even the connector is a little bit sturdier with a bit better tension relief portion than the original Pioneer mic. It Also Appears To Be A Much "Hotter"/ More Sensitive Mic than the original Pioneer mic. (overly sensitive? lacking noise control/"Anti noise"?) It does not sound as good as the original mic, (background noises) “The Factory” Pioneer mic sounded much better/great. “No Back Ground Noise.”Some would actually get upset saying if you are going to get here in time you need to be in your car now, I would have to tell people I was in my car and almost to there place. Nobody ever had a clue I was talking to them while in the car driving.Right after installing and going to test this mic it picked up a car just driving down the street behind me. People were asking me what "that noise is". It also is picking up engine noise (and wind?) inside of the car when driving. (Yes. with windows up.)It pics up any sound in the vehicle. Noise is always mentioned to me when testing this new mic.(I wonder if the foam is what the refer to as there anti noise feature. )But GOOD To Be Able to Use The Phone Through My Car Stereo Again! (Yes, the microphone is mounted in the same place as the original microphone)
