Harder year with one back up battery on my studio camcorder , this battery was an inexpensive replacement with a very handy charger kept nearby.

No frills! It just charges my batteries really fast. It has a very small footprint so that takes up little space in my camera bag. It is a wall-mounted charging device with a built-in plug that folds out for use. It has a green light that lets you know when your battery is charged. And did I say it charges fast? I meant that it charges really, really fast!

I bought it as a second battery and charger for my Canon XA20 Camcorder. I had an event to shoot outdoors and hadn't yet obtained a second battery for my camcorder - it arrived quickly and worked very well. Also a good price. I love a happy ending...

I use the battery and charger for a video recorder that I use often. It has been a great back up battery and charger for my uses. Great value over the name brand option.

Unlike many BP-800 series aftermarket batteries, this one works with the Canon XA30 which has sneaky detection circuitry to reject many non-Canon branded batteries. It has a slightly higher capacity than a Canon BP-820 (2000 mAh versus 1700 mAh). The charger seems faster than charging on-camera but I have not had enough experience with this battery or charger to evaluate it further.
