summertime weighted blanket substitute
I love this thing. I'm an adult, and I use it as a substitute for my weighted blanket in the summer when the blanket is too warm. It's easier to put on my mattress than I expected it to be, but it's still plenty stretchy and compress-y when I crawl under it.

Great for children that like compression for calming!
UPDATE: After using this product for two nights, I can say this was a great purchase. My child loves it. He said it's soft and stretchy, but the pressure it gives him feels very relaxing. He has slept better, and I hope this continues. A bonus that I discovered is that he hardly messes up his covers at night so making the bed has been significantly easier for him, and it's less of a battle to get him to do it. Yay! I'm hoping it holds up to washes and being stretched over the mattress on a regular basis. If the prices were to stay the same, even if I had to buy a new one each year, it would be worth it. He looks forward to going to bed now, which is also another plus. I will update if there are any other changes.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this for my child to see if it would help with calming/relaxing to go to sleep at night, and to get back to sleep in the middle of the night. I just washed the sheet (cold, gentle, line dry) and put on my child's mattress and wanted to post a couple of thoughts before I forgot them. It's very stretchy so it wasn't terribly difficult to get on the mattress. If your mattress was not a standard spring and easy to pick up and move around, I could see it being quite a challenge to wrestle it onto the mattress, especially if it's bigger than a twin size (like a thick, heavy foam or plush mattress, or queen, etc.)I'm planning on a new mattress at some point, and if my child loves this sheet, I will be sure to get an inner spring, not a memory foam style mattress. Changing the sheets regularly and having to move around a memory foam mattress would be exhausting, I presume.I was going to get a weighted blanket but after researching them, wanted to try this as an alternative, for several reasons. (A) - Good quality weighted blankets can be several hundred dollars, or more. There are cheaper versions, but I would question the quality. I thought this was a great, affordable option to try first. (B) - Children move around a lot while sleeping and I have serious concerns about it staying on the bed/child for very long, which would defeat the purpose of the investment in the weighted blanket. (C) - I researched making my own weighted blanket. I am not afraid of DIY options for certain things. I don't have the time to try to take on a project like this.I will update after a week or two of use and let you know how my child likes it.

Could be life changing for us!
We have been using this a week and our 9 year old who has never slept any stretch of time in his own bed through the night since he was born - has slept in his bed all night 4x since last Sunday night!!!!!!! Nothing short of a miracle for us. Our son has diagnosed anxiety and is in the process of being diagnosed for ADHD/sensory disorders. Hoping this really is the change we needed for his sleep!

Donโt hesitate, buy it
My daughter has ASD and she loves her weighted blanket, but when she kicks it down at night she wakes up. I ordered this sensory compression sheet on a whim and I got the purple color which is so pretty!! I put it on her bed and since new things are hard for her to adjust to she wanted to lie on top of it at bed time instead of underneath. So I tucked her in like usual and snuck in later when she was asleep and pulled it up over her, and then put her weighted blanket on top. She slept great and was so cozy! She woke up like a little burrito and was so happy in her bed :) now she loves it and looks forward to climbing in at night. Sheโs also less hesitant to get out of bed once I tuck her in at night :)

Worked like a charm!
This product worked like a miracle for us! Someone jokingly suggested it for my 4 year old who wakes up all the time. Cannot even remember the last time she slept through the night. Probably when she was in a crib. She is always looking for mom or scared, or just canโt fall back asleep on her own. Got this blanket and she slept through 5/7 nights so far! So amazed!! Even on the nights she didnโt sleep through the night, she still slept better than without this sheet. Ordering another one as a backup! You wonโt know until you try for yourself.

Good product - NOT for a loft
Iโll start this by saying my daughter loves this. It is light weight and stretchy. She says it feels like a hug. After two months we have seen little improvement in sleep. But it is nice. However, if your child sleeps in a loft or upper bunk, think before purchasing this. The sheet fits on the mattress like a pair of tights. It is VERY hard to get it on when the mattress is up in the high loft. I absolutely HATE to have to change the sheets on her bed. YIKES!

Good sensory sheet
This is a good sheet. The quality could be better since the seam is starting to pull away a bit

Really nice sheet!
I got this sheet after a reccomndation from my sons occupationional therapist. This is a nice sheet. My son likes it and it feels nice. No complaints about the sheet and it helps with his S.P.D.My son prefers to roll around under it during the day rather than sleep in it, but he does just lay still under it sometimes. He won't sleep in it though. Its very stretchy. Open at both ends. Fits over a single mattress easily. For those who don't know how they are (I didn't at 1st) its like a tube of material that slides over the entire mattress, just like a sock on your foot. Only both ends are open. Its very silky and glidey, bit like the shiny cycling shorts you get. It has one seam down the side which you can place on the underside of the mattress for those who don't like seams. It washes well. More colour choice would be nice as they didn't have a colour that matched my sons rooms decor....but it does its job.One thing that does annoy me about any sensory aids are the prices. Why are they so expensive? I just think for what it is effectively....price shud be under ยฃ20.......However this can be great for those that need the sensory stimulation or grounding of this sheet. Which to some is priceless.....but should that be a reason for such high prices?

Thumbs up from an adult on the spectrum.
I was unsure if this would stretch sufficiently on my single bed and leave enough stretch for an adult/me under neath. I have a 10-inch deep mattress which tends to be a bit deeper than a lot of the modern foam mattresses. I am pleased to say that this was long enough and wide enough to accommodate both me and the mattress with sufficient pressure to be just right. A deeper mattress would have been probelatical for me, but possibly not for a child. Lots of variables to consider with such items, so do not be put off this style of product as I am sure they all vary. It has a lovely soft silky fabric and a smooth hem at the end. This does represent a great value item and gave me the comforting night that I needed. I shall buy another so I do not have to change it so often as moving a weighty mattress on your own can be very stressful. The sheet slid on easily once I could manoeuvre the mattress. Sensory sheets are not warm in their own right, so if you have cold rooms, there will be a modicum of finding the right things to put on top so the individual user is happy and comfortable. My body temp varies a lot, but I dislike weight and heat. A weighted blanket may be a good addition/ alternative to this item if additional pressure is required. Or just plain wool blankets thrown on top, which is what I did. I have air con to help balance temperatures in my rooms so will be experimenting in the next few weeks and into winter. Thumbs up for a good buy, with the caveat that all people are different, more so with those of us on the spectrum.

Fell asleep so much quicker
I bought this for my daughter who is 12. She has mild, high functioning autism but has enjoyed using a weighted blanket. However, it kept falling off her bed in the night. I saw this and thought I would give it a go. Usually she struggles to get to sleep for some time. I went upstairs for something and peeped in, surprised to find her fast asleep, not even disturbed by the squeak of her door. She has enjoyed laying in bed during the day under it too whilst watching tv. Says it just feels really nice. She is a weekly boarder at school and so has begged me to buy another one for her to put on her school bed because she loves it so much.

Great purchase, changed bedtime completely.
My son, who possibly has autism, would ask multiple times at bedtime if I can come and sort his quilt out as it got messy. With this blanket, this problem has gone away. He loves it and slips underneath it no probs and it doesn't move. It snugs him well and he also sleeps longer. The only thing I would say is it doesn't keep the warmth well. We have solved this with and blanket on top on the colder nights. Doesn't move though it stays ontop while he sleeps.

Children like them.
I got these for very wiggly, poor sleepers. They state "My cute sheet helps me feel cute" and have a better quality sleep. They don't have obvious bags under their eyes either. The sheet won't give you very much pressure, but they encase the child and have a lovely slippery feel, while keeping them cool. I would think this is a great first step to see how much sensory they need. 2/3 have have quit sleeping under them full time, after two months, but if they have a rough day they will burrow under. Number 3 has a great time pretending it is a tent, so I make sure to check everyone is positioned appropriately for sleeping. (After they drop off, which has reduced to 15-20 min compared to hours!)
