K-Tek KSTG70 Stingray Bag for Tascam DR-70D & DR-701D Audio Recorder

I got this bag for a Tascam DR70D. I've also used it for a DR701D. It's clear it was designed for the former, since it is a little more difficult to access XLR connections and the off button on the 701D. With the DR70D though it's a great little bag. The build quality is great and it's perfect for a small setup with 2 wireless lavs, a boom and a set of headphones. I use the strap at the back to hold my external power pack for the recorder (a must for the Tascams). The only thing I would like added is a clear rain cover. If it had that there wouldn't be any competition.

I was excited to receive the bag but once I did i found it to be a real pain in the butt to setup and use. Access to the side and the back of the unit is inadequate to replace either the memory card or the batteries. The front transparent cover is much too big and cumbersome, plus closing it is too complicated. I'll only keep it because it does offer protection to the unit (701D) but I'll most likely have to take it out of the bag when using it and then replacing it when traveling again. That in itself, putting the recorder into the bag and pulling it out is very annoying. Sorry, but that's the trurth.

Very nice and clean tight fitment. Love the color scheme and the size that it comes in. It is slim and yet has all access to what it is needed when needed.

The design does not fit the 701D recorder at all for mounting. Sizing perfect but the hole for the top mounting is on the wrong side and even then, the fabric is too thick for the Tascam's mounting screw to catch the thread. Hate it so much.

It works ok, expected the zip configuration to be a little different, but my Tasacm DR 70D.

great product. I'm not sure why some people were saying the no longer could mount a camera on top when the velcro does open to allow access. however adding a plate on the bottom is a bit more complex. You still maintain access to all parts of your device which was my main concern.

Perfect fit for my audio unit, the Tascam DR-70d.It is very compact, but you can hang audio receivers off the front. It unzips on the sides and can be a little difficult to see what you are doing as far as turning on your unit or plugging in headphones but it is workable. The only real downside is the price. I like the bag, but it still doesn't feel like it should be this pricey. It seems very durable, but only time will tell.

Great investment! This bag is a bit expensive, but it's a perfect fit for my DR-70D  TASCAM DR-70D 4-Channel DSLR Audio Recorder . I found that when the camera was mounted on top of the recorder the camera would vibrate when I mess with the trim-pots. I needed to get the recorder away from the camera, but still keep it close when filming. This solved my problem! It's big enough for me to use a 10,000mAH Battery Pack  AmazonBasics Portable Power Bank - 10,000 mAh  inside and have power all day long!
