I was falling into the habit of buying premade salads (you know the ones with your basic iceberg lettuce, carrots and red cabbage...) because they were just so much easier. I hated all of the money that I was wasting because 1) they cost more and 2) they go bad quickly. I finally decided it was time to invest in a salad shooter and quit taking the easy way out. Well, jokes on me because using the salad shooter IS the easy way! It comes with 4 different attachments depending on what you will be cutting with it. It can grate, shred, chop...you name it! And get this... It is not just for salads! Of course it does work absolutely flawlessly at chopping lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, peppers and anything else you want in a salad. But you can also do things like grate cheese, make bread crumbs, grate chocolate (yes, chocolate!) and even fruits. It is super simple it setup and use and has easy, one touch controls. All you do is attach the cutter (they are like a cone shape) to the end of it, push the power button and drop in your food. Within seconds your food is cut up as you want it and comes out the other end. Both the chute and the cutting cones detach and are dishwasher safe, so cleanup is a breeze. The entire unit is fairly small, so it's fine to either leave on your countertop for easy access or else easily can be tucked away into a cabinet. Either way it does not take up much space at all.

easy to clean

I used this machine to cook radish cake, very easy to make the shredded radish. Before I have to shred by myself, so tired. So happy to buy this machine

Rather small

Would have been better with a wide bowl attached, cheese shredded well but flew out the sides of the bowl.

Slice veggie

This is a solid product and very easy to use. I used the Homdox Two great cheese for my macaroni and cheese. I usually use 6 to 7 blocks of cheese and with the Homdox it only took me a few minutes to grate all of the blocks. I also used it to slice up onions, cucumbers and carrots for salads and other dishes. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member.

I retired me 40 year old shredder. I just hope this last a long time. I do like that it sets on the counter.
