Q: Will these do well slicing apples?

These tomato knives are my use for EVERYTHING KNIVES! Yes they are great for apples as well as Candy apples!

Q: Since these are offered in a set of 6, is it suggested that they would be suitable as steak knives? I've been looking for a good, sharp edge.

I bought them as a set of two and they work great for tomatoes. The knives are VERY sharp. The only issue I could see with them being used as steak knives is the blade itself is very thin, therefore very flexible. I would be concerned that the blade might twist while cutting into steak.
