Keyboard is *very* easy on the wrists.
I love my new keyboard. I've been struggling with wrist pain for a while and my wife talked me in to trying her Kinesis keyboard off of her PC for a while. It makes more of a difference than I expected to have a proper ergonomic chair and a good ergonomic keyboard. However, the keyboard has not worked out quite the way I expected.I had bought a Mac keyboard with the palm rests and the risers installed and had to return it because it kept dying after 5 minutes. I could not just request a replacement, so I ordered a new one and requested the palm supports (wrist rest that attaches) separately. What I learned is that you have have either the risers that tip the keyboard installed or the palm supports attached, but not both at the same time. I guess I am going to have to go buy another item to attach both at the same time? Also, I have found that there may have been a design change between my wife's Kinesis 2 keyboard which is about 2 years old and the new keyboards because my wife's keyboard worked perfectly with my KVM when shared between two computers, but my new keyboard is still a little touchy. Every so often I have to unplug it and plug it back in to have it recognized. It is *not* like the first keyboard where it would simply stop working after 5 minutes. It is just when you transition from one computer to the other and it may momentarily lose power it seems to have a problem. So, two recommendations: First, buy the model of keyboard with whatever risers and wrist pads you plan to install already installed. It will be much less irritating than trying to install them later. Second, while I think this is a great keyboard for ergonomics and my wrist feels better using it daily, I am not sure it was really meant for use with a KVM.

Excellent Ergonomics
I purchased this keyboard so that I can keep my wrists straight while keying. It's design allows me to exactly that. It's taken me some time to get used to the layout - I expected that. I love the editing keys(cut, copy, paste). I no longer suffer from pain in my wrists while I key. And compared to other ergonomic options, I like its compact size and its more reasonable price.

defective, as was the replacement
This is my third kinesis keyboard, in this model. The first two were -- and are -- flawless, even after years of use. I love love love them, which is why I bought another. This latest one is defective, however. When you type certain words quickly, it drops a letter. For example, if you type "deploy" quickly, it renders as "deloy" (drops the "p"). This is consistent across laptops that I've plugged it into, both with and without USB hubs.I send the keyboard back to kinesis -- at my expense, because they insisted -- and received a refurbished keyboard in return. The refurbished keyboard has the EXACT same issue. I'm not sure if they've changed their components or firmware or what, but there appears to be a consistent flaw with this keyboard model now.I'm about to embark on yet-another exchange. If it works out, and the (second) replacement works, I'll amend my rating. Until then, this is a 1-star keyboard, and I'm done doing business with this company.-- UPDATE 2024-03-01 --Got contacted by their support folks, and they were very (very) helpful. I'm awaiting a new keyboard now, but things are definitely looking up.-- UPDATE 2024-03-25 --The Kinesis customer support folks were top notch this time, in addressing my issues. I'm adjusting my one-star review to a four-star review, as a result. I still give the Kinesis Freestyle 2 a low rating since it apparently (now) has an issue that causes it to drop keys when you type quickly, as evidenced by it happening with two different keyboards of a recent vintage. Kinesis did right by me, however, and upgraded me to a different keyboard at no cost to me, and that upgraded keyboard works correctly. So to recap: the Kinesis Freestyle 2 now has issues, depending on how quickly you type (older models didn't have this problem). Customer support is excellent, however, and made me a believer in this company again.

Came without tenting attachment
It arrived quickly but didn't have the tenting attachment as advertised so I now have to return it. I ordered another hoping it will actually come with the tenting attachment. It arrives Tuesday. Meanwhile, I'm unable to work at all until it arrives due to a broken wrist. So I hope 2nd one works.

This beats any Ergonomic keyboard out there
I use this for work and it totally helps with my forearms burning while typing a lot as well as saves my wrists.I've used a few different keyboards in the past which were fine but this one beats out all of the competition. My first one I had work bought it. I left that company and had to leave the keyboard as well.I loved it so much I purchased my second one myself.I can position each side wherever I want depending on my seating position which helps out big time.Another thing I love about it is the keys are quiet when typing, none of the mechanical keyboards or just a regular keyboard noise.

Perfect adjustable ergonomic keyboard
The adjustability is a wonderful feature. I had tendonitis on my right hand. After just a week of switching to this keyboard, there was pain relief, actually it was almost gone! I can adjust the tilt angle and the spread of the 2 halves as I see fit. The hot keys are great--one click to copy, one to paste, and others I haven't used yet. Didn't take me long to get acclimated either. Highly recommend this keyboard especially if there are multi users at your computer. Each person can adjust to their specific needs.
