DO. NOT. BUY.
I bought this rolling backpack for my 12 year old last year, spending more than I probably should have because it had decent reviews. Halfway through the year, both wheel stops on the bottom front of the backpack broke off, leaving two very sharp screws sticking out of the bottom of the backpack. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the screws before they ripped holes in the leather seats of my car. I optimistically assumed that I just got the one bad backpack, and make the poor choice of buying the exact same backpack for my son for this new school year. Very poor choice. Six weeks into this new school year, and BOTH WHEELS have broken off! He used this for less than two months, and it is falling apart. I am so very disgusted with this product, Please do not buy this backpack. It is made very poorly.

Don't believe the warranty - and don't waste money on Asurion's protection plan
The shoulder strap on the backpack broke within 5 weeks of purchase (it had been used to carry school books to only to and from the bus stop for 20 to 25 days; once at school, the rolling feature of the backpack was used). I purchased the extra 4 year warranty plan from Asurion. When i traced the order back through amazon, I was told it was too late to return it to amazon. I then filed a claim with Asurion, which told me this is a manufacturing defect and I'll have to be contact the manufacturer to get a replacement. So far, no luck with that, either. So don't waste your money on buying a "protection plan" and be aware that this backpack could break with minimal use.

Unclip & Tuck In Straps When Rolling
My daughter loves this rolling backpack, but she didn't even have it for a month before the ends of the straps got stuck in the wheels and tore right off. She didn't notice it at the time and the straps can easily get caught in the wheels. This was disappointing. Make sure you unclip the straps when not wearing on the back and tuck the straps into the back pouch pocket. This should prevent any mishaps. We bought this for use just as a roller so my daughter can live without the straps. My daughter is in 4th grade and has a few heavy books to carry around. We find the main compartment area to be sufficient amount of storage for holding quite a few books and binders. The wheels are made from a hard plastic and we haven't encountered any rolling issues so far. There are two height settings for the handle bar. At the lowest setting, the height is 34" from the ground to the top of the bar. At the tallest setting, the height goes up to 39". For now, the backpack has been pretty durable and there's plenty of storage, but make sure you tuck in those backpack straps!

Rolls really well Looks good I can fit my laptop and 2 big textbooks ...
Rolls really wellLooks goodI can fit my laptop and 2 big textbooks inside and lots of other small items like scientific calculator, glasses case, car keys and iphone all at the same timeIT does get heavy if you pack it the way I mentioned aboveLots of space for pens, pencils and highlighterscup holders actually hold your commuter mugsHandle doesn't feel as sturdy as it ACTUALLY is. I thought the handle would break or something since I constantly pull it up and down. It holds up WELL!!!I've had it for 2 months with everyday use and plan on using it as carryon on my next trip this week. I trust it that much.Wheels move well against pavement and cracked concrete and easily rolls down into your trunk space.Con: Does NOT roll up curbs very well or down steps... but it tells you not to do that so hey sometimes you need to right?

Handle Broke after 1 month
The media could not be loaded. We are so disappointed. This is the second J World New York Sunrise Rolling Backpack we purchased since we absolutely LOVED the first one we bought for our older son. That backpack would be rated a clear 5 stars! Unfortunately for this second backpack, the telescoping handle broke after only 1 month of light use by our kindergartener. Our son was simply pulling the backpack on a smooth concrete surface and out popped the handle! We tried to fix it by popping the handle back in, but it now no longer stays in and pops out every time you pull the handle up to use.Besides the broken handle, we absolutely love all of the other features of this rolling backpack! It is well made and sturdy. The bag rolls exceptionally well and does not tip over when full! The non-tip-over factor is probably our favorite thing about this bag since we previously went through many other rolling backpacks that constantly tipped over. Sadly, we are past the return/exchange date. I'm not sure if we just received a bag with a defective telescoping handle. The same rolling backpack that we purchased 2 years ago still works wonderfully and we really would appreciate help from the company to replace or fix our broken bag.

College Life Saver!!!!
I have to take the city bus to and from my college campus, I'm a student and a tutor, so I usually have a lot of books and supplies. This backpack handles all of my things, rolls quitely, and looks very nice! My back is never sore from having to lug around a heavy bag all day. Its high quality and durable. I would suggest this back anyone. I have zero complaints. I hardly ever use the straps to carry it, but they come in handy!

Not designed for laptop carriers- be aware of CONS!!!
I love rolling backpacks, but this one failed to make the grade.Pros:1) Wheels work fairly well2) Spacious inside3) Side pockets for water bottles and such4) Front pocket for additional storage5) Handle can be extended to two sizes- tall and taller6) Cute designCons:1) Wheels don't turn on a dime2) No Computer storage compartment3) Pockets on side broke after a week of normal use4) Handle extender doesn't always work properly because the button doesn't stay depressed so it often failed to stay at one length during rolling5) This backpack provides no waterproofing during heavy rainstorms for electronic devices, which is a really big drawback, since I always carried my laptop with me in the backpack under an umbrella, but the backpack still got soaked.6) It is cheaply made and didn't last more than 6 months. The pockets and zippers ripped and broke.I would not advise purchasing this backpack again due to its cheaply made nature, especially if you have a laptop in tow.

Best Wheely Backpack yet.
I've used a wheely back pack for some time, due to lower back issues. I've been thru a few models, (some from Argos) and this is the best. Big wheels, easy handle up and down. Great. I did spray the underside with waterproofing B4 taking it out in Brit rain. Base gets soaked and the bottom rots away.
