I have a bunch of glass storage jars that use this size & shape of gasket. They all came with rubber gaskets. Now, ten years later, the glass jars are still perfect but all of the rubber gaskets are hard and brittle and don't seal well. These gaskets fit those jars. They're slightly thicker than the original gaskets, but not thick enough to be a problem. They're softer, so they give a better seal than the original gaskets. Since silicone rubber lasts so much longer than regular rubber they should last a long time. Very happy with these.

I purchased the red ones, assuming they would be a bright cherry red, as shown. They are not. They look like the old-fashioned pinkish red rubber, which was just not the look I was going for. At 1/8 inch, these are quite thick, which should create a good seal in older jars that other silicone seals may be too thin for. Because of that thickness, though, they're not going to "form" to every lid perfectly (there was some flipping and popping off on the couple of jars I tested). But, the seal was still good when the jars are closed. Ultimately, I returned them due to the disappointment on the color.

Purchase these replacement gaskets for some glass jars. I have that are hinged with glass lids. Nice tight seal no leaks so far so good. Throw them in the dishwasher. They hold up great.

Was a good replacement for old gaskets on a no-idea-how-old jar. Fit nice and tightly, but not so tight it was a hassle. Very pleased.

good quality, it works very well for my old glass containers. Most importantly is that I just need to replace the old and wore-out gaskets from the glass containers I have, I don't have to buy new containers. I can save money and save our environment.
