AcuRite 00509 Color Weather Station with Count Temperature/Humidity/Forecast,Black and White

Received as second-hand at discount, works perfectly for me out of box with no hassle. Already had Accu-Rite's cheaper black&white model set up, hoped this one would read its remote sensor-it does (so have a spare). So i now have outside temperature readouts in two different rooms. Remote is 100 ft. away thru several walls, allowing positioning in a shady breezy place for best accuracy. Color display is phenomenal, with bright, medium and dim settings (dim at night only if u like). Runs plugged in or on 3 AAA batteries, two AA for remote, alcaline or rechargeable, also acting as a backup (not included). Captures 24 hr. & record hi & lo readings. Barametric reading with learning feature and trends, as well as displaying forecast image. Indoor temp. & hum., time & date, moon phases. Can hang on wall or sit on flat surface. Alot of features & versatility in a small tidy attractive unit. A steal for what it has to offer.

The color display is bright and easy to read. This weather station is a good value.

Seems to work great, highly visible from most angles.

Better quilaty than most and it has a calabration setting that lets you set the correct tempature.

Has worked flawlessly for 2.5 years then this week the outside temp was way off versus my 5 in 1 main weather station I keep in my office, was off by 10* degrees difference..I open it up and 1 of the solder's had broken off, I was able to resolder, but its still not re-sensing the correct temp outside, so I'll be buying a new senson for 12.99 from amazon..still I give it high marks for accuracy and ease of use, I figure its outside where nothing last forever

This is just what we were looking for. We wanted one that would be powered by plug in and battery because we needed it to be backlit constantly. This one fit the bill exactly. It’s great.

Really good. Takes a bit to set up, once you figure it out all is easy. Wish it has outdoor humidity as well.

A very nice display. The indoor temperature reading value started to fail .... i.e. One of the diodes failed so the reading was somewhat compromised. No biggy. We just wanted outdoor temp anyways. Now, after 2 years, the sensor has outright failed. I have kept it TOTALLY sheltered in a wood shed so it never saw rain or snow. A little disappointing. We are going to give it one more try and buy another.

Nice unit works well. I have it in a heated shop to monitor the temp from the house. Sends a really good signal through metal walls. I tried other brands for this purpose and they would not send a signal through the metal cladding. Temp and barometric pressure seem very accurate display is nice but the reason I only have it 4 stars is because the display unit has to be plugged in and I was wanting a battery operated display so I could put it anywhere in the house!
