Yeah black charcoal will come out the first minute or so you run it. I turned the water on and off a few times to clear the excess charcoal from the filter, after that it works awesome. I have had this on subscribe and save every 6 mos for probably around 4 years now.

I am using these to replace the ridiculously priced originals. With our very hard water I’m hoping to improve my water quality.

good product a bit pricey

So far so good. I switched out the two aquas as filters for these. One did have a dip in water pressure but I think it’s because it wasn’t the shower handle thru aquasana. And it isn’t proper fitted on so you get water leaking it. As far as installation( super easy) pressure( one shower head zero pressure loss, second one slightly) and feeling a difference. I didn’t noticed it until I I showered at my parents and they don’t have filter shower heads. My hair felt rough after I shower. Use the same shampoo and body wash as I do at my condo. Def recommend it.

I was very satisfied with this filter. I used the Johnathan filter for a few years and can no longer get it. I have well water and have a problem with copper in my water which turns my hair green. I have tried two other filters which did nothing for the problem they just made my hair flat. Aquacrest was my third try and I love it. My hairdresser said there was no green in my hair. My hair is soft but I can blow dry it and stl have body. I'm going to order two more to have on hand because the price is great.it rea

This is a generic product that fits perfectly, it installs in mere seconds. The filtering duplicates the original, I have no reason to believe that the overall results for skin and hair won't be the same. This is the product that I will be purchasing again. The price is almost half as much as the original.

Firstly must say shipping is awesome. Was here the next day when it was suppose to be here in 6days. Much appreciated. Now the product.. came 2 in a blank box. No client service number to call or anything..not good…this prompts for reviews like this instead of being able to call someone…prior to purchasing this product I check the reviews..there was a fair amount of reviews that stated it doesn’t fit right but the overall the good wiggled out the bad so I said what the hay let’s go! The 1st one out the box worked great so I was happy and thought lucky me I didn’t catch a dud…the 2nd one was complete disaster.. water was spraying all over the place and made a mess on the floor and such. I thought maybe I didn’t eat my wheaties in the morning so I took it off then put it back on and used the might of Thor to tighten it. Well to my dismay it was a complete failure. Water all over the place and such. The charcoal was shooting out of it so my bathroom was black on the walls, floor, toilet, bath towels etc. So just keep in mind that why you buy this 2 pack, you may have a winner winner chicken dinner with 1 and the 2nd is will be the wrath of god all over the place in your bathroom. Just saying, so be careful and be ready with a poncho.
