Bathsheba wasn’t raped
Just read the Bible. I got this to have a summary of women not talked about as much. Some of the women are right which is why I add 2 stars but Bathsheba Wasn’t raped. That’s a big no no. No we’re does it say she was raped in the Bible.EditThis book is a waste of money. I wouldn’t buy this again. It has opinions in it. I wanted just a bio of women not an option. Don’t get this. It has miss information. If you know nothing about the Bible you would think David rape bathsheba but he didn’t.

Loved the book
Paul dug through the Bible to get the most interesting stories and details one would skim over and not appreciate in these women. Sheds a new and lovely light on the forgotten and overlooked.

Wonderful Resouce to Look at the Underlooked-At Women in the Bible
An easy-to-read, thorough look at the women throughout the Bible. Each section on a different women is detailed, but concise, making it easy to read in short increments if so chosen. Thought provoking to realize how many women are included in the Bible.

Interesting perspective of women who influenced and were influenced by Jesus and the early Church
I was interested at the beginning, but as the book progressed, I found some of Dr. DeHaan's comments cavalier, flippant and somewhat juvenile. I did enjoy the section for further study. Thank you.

Good basic info for laypeople.
It’s a good general layman’s book, just not enough academic background work about womens roles in ANE and Jewish perspectives. Excellent for basic info but not so much for bible college students or grads.

For women leaders in the modern church
This is such a great resource for women leaders in the modern church. The book gives you a short overview of the women and where you can find the story in the bible. It has help me countless times during Bible study prep and women fellowship exhortation!

Question everything
I wanted some other material to add to studying the bible as I continue to grow as a woman of God, a future wife and mother. I was turned off before I was done the first page of the introduction but I stopped at page 23. I thought to myself why is this woman mad at man, that was when I thought the author was a woman but then I googled the name. I Praise the Lord for discernment, I thank God for the Holy Spirit who reveals the truth and I Praise Him for His Son Jesus who died for me. I was unable to give 0 star

Great Book!
This book is short one to two page outlines (with Bible verse references) of each woman in the Bible - almost like a devotional. It’s awesome for me because it helps me remember details easier when it’s split up like this. I also bought one for my mom. Great book!
