I am upgrading from a 4 person tent and I was expecting this 8 person tent to be slight larger than twice the size. But I was blown away at the size. It’s probably more than 3x the footprint and way more cubic feet volume. I set it up in my living room before the trip since I want to make sure everything is fine and get use to the setup. It barely fit in my living room.My kids love the extra space so much that they decided to “camp” indoor over the weekend. It will fit 3 mattress easily. It took me about 10 minutes to setup. I think I can do it in 3 minutes now in open space. The only tricky part is the sticks are color coded but they instructions are in black and white. But here’s the tip. The brown one goes on top across the entire tent. White ones are the edge arch supports. And the blue ones are the center arch support (near the door). It’s simple as that.One thing I wish they did was to include a larger storage bag. Maybe an inch at each directory would be good. It took me a while to squeeze out all the air and roll it in the perfect size to fit back in. One trick I found helpful was to fold the tent to slightly smaller then the width of the bag. Then squeeze out the air as you roll it. This was how I got it back in.

I have been searching camping tents for over 3 months. I needed something that was sturdy, WATERPROOF, and could house 5 of us comfortably for our cross country trip. This tent delivered!! I held it in my cart for almost a month, waiting to read more reviews and make sure that I was getting the best product within a reasonable budget.We received the tent and the kids and I immediately put it up in our backyard. The zippers are smooth and the fabric thick. We had a great night and are very excited to take it out again!!UPDATE! It is WATERPROOF! We had a steady rain from 830pm until 230am and the tent did not leak!!

Update on Product. So I've slept in this tent every night since my state (Georgia) has been Sheltered in Place by our governor. Doing this breaks up the time being of being in the house. Last night April 12, 2020, I got a high wind advisory to include heavy rain on my phone. A big part of me said I was going to go inside due to the extremely bad weather. Then the Army came out in me and said, "Wait!!!!, this tent said it was waterproof and wind-proof. Tonight we will see. I convince my fiance to stay out with me. Going into the morning of April 13, 2020, around 0245 it began an all-out rain pour and extreme heavy winds. Sleeping was out of the question there was too much noise of the wind beating on the tent. It was an amazing but somewhat scary view from the inside. We watched for a few hours of the tent collapsing in on every side then it would pop back out. I am more than confident with this tent. Let me say I am retired Army and I would use this tent had I been still in the Army. Our tents in the Army always leaked.I just received this tent and set it up in my living room. It took about 30 minutes. But now that I understand the color codes of the poles I could set it up in 10 minutes or less. I will take it out this weekend and test it in the weather. It appears to be a stable tent. I was very surprised by the mass of the room it has. Love it ....would recommend to others as a first choice tent.

This is a great family tent! Spent a weekend with 2 adults, 2 young children and a teen; the “wall” feature came in handy to give the teen space and privacy (lol). But it would have been a more than adequate sized space for two adults as well. Assembly was super easy for two adults who haven’t put a tent up in 20 years! My only complaint is that the door zipper was difficult to open and close; often getting stuck on the fabric outer flap. With 5 people going in and out of the tent it jammed often especially for the younger campers.Woke up one windy/chilly morning (screens were open, but once zipped we quickly warmed up. So I can say we observed first hand the tent’s wind proofing.All in all we are happy with this purchase and definitely look forward to another camping getaway with this tent!

So I did a test set up of this tent in my living room and was astonished by the sheer size of this tent! I measured the full foot print at about 16 ft long by 9 ft wide. It's about 6 ft high in the center and roughly 5 ft on the ends. It can easily fit a couple of queen air mattresses with some room to spare.The bag is pretty light and compact and when stored it's roughly 23 in by 8 in by 9 in. I didn't have too much trouble getting it back in the bag. I couldn't get it in as nice as it came, but it seems fine. The pics I posted are after putting it back in the bag.When I went to set it up the directions were a bit confusing, but the gray/tan poles go on the ends, the blue across the middle on either side of the door, and the red across the top center long ways.The tent can stand on its own, but it really needs to be staked out in each corner to stand up correctly and be fully rigid. I wasn't able to do this in the living room, but the corner anchors seem really secure and like they'll hold it well. I didn't try the rain cover either but it didn't look too difficult to put up.Overall, this tent is really big, easy to set up, and is well made, making it a great value for the price. I'm very happy with it and looking forward to using it on our upcoming camping trip.
