Keep It Cool
The ARB fridge slide is a great piece of kit to add to your ARB refrigerator. I have owned two ARB refrigerators - one mounted in my FZJ80 and the other mounted in my Tacoma. I cannot relay how much of a game changer the ARB refrigerator can be. However great the ARB refrigerator is, it's not great if you can't access it easily and that's where this slide comes into play. The slide is well built (as is everything ARB) and the bearings are super slick. With a fully loaded fridge the slide makes easy work of making it accessible. I originally had my ARB refrigerator mounted on a sliding drawer top in the back of Tacoma, however it was a bit "sticky" and was a little difficult to slide in and out of the bed. The ARB slide took care of the issue and made the refrigerator much more accessible. I would definitely recommend this product and I would also recommend that adding this directly to a truck bed or hard mounting to a set of drawers will definitely help organize and improve the efficiency of your load.

Not perfect but does the job.
Difficult to get it to ever stop rattling completely. Does the job , but for that price should come with all adjustments dialed in to keep it quiet.

Not worth the money.
All these reviews seem to be a mix of the slide and the cover. I am reviewing the slide. It has a lot of very clever ideas, but almost all of them are poorly implemented. Let me be clear here. The craftsmanship is excellent. The design itself is poor. I have been an engineer for 25 years, and this product is a great example of what we call gold plating the product. In short, it is way over built for what it is intended to do, and not in a good way.Very heavy, and unnecessarily so. Heavy just for the sake of being heavy is not the same as quality. The roller bearings that hold the inner slide in place do stop side to side movement to keep rattles to a minimum. They arrive unadjusted though. If the manufacturing tolerances were under control they could arrive in place with no adjustment required. The front to back movement has no adjustment, so all the expense of the side to side adjustments is wasted. The thing rattles badly as the inner slide moved back and forth lengthwise. There are plastic spacers that the manual says will adjust to stop up and down rattling. They do not adjust and are simply bolted into one position, about ¼ inch too low to do any good. Again, implement some good manufacturing processes and these would not be needed in the first place. The latch lug engages into a hole that is much larger than the lug. If the lug was tapered and the hole was properly designed, it would engage in a swedge fit and the rattling would not occur.I have a Jeep Wrangler. ARB made their reputation selling stuff for Jeeps. A Wrangler has a storage compartment in the back with a flip up plastic lid over it. There is no metal floor. This means the slide cannot be bolted down in the back. I guess I will live with it as I can bolt the front down and hope the back stays put on its own. But, this is going to render my storage compartment unusable. OK, anyone who doesn’t own a Wrangler won’t be bothered by this, but it is an irritant to me.Rattles. Did I mention that it rattles? If it is mounted in the back of a pickup, who cares. It is in the passenger compartment with me and good grief it makes a lot of noise. The most disappointing thing is I know ARB knows how to do this right. Simply look at a set of ARB storage drawers that feature a roller top to mount the refrigerator. None of the issues I have mentioned exist in that system.I am pretty sure this thing is going back. I really don’t want my fridge bouncing around in the back of the Jeep, but again, I can’t really bolt it down anyway. I like the slide out feature, but the rattles than came with it might negate the convenience.

Good product unless you get a dud
My first unit sort of cooled. The fan would run near constantly but the compressor was intermittent. On 120v power I was able to cool the unit to 30f in about 12 hours, but some days not at all. I had a similar experience on 12v. The rear panel seemed especially flimsy as well, at one point I almost pulled out the entire panel trying to unplug the 12v plug from the back of the ARB (I ended up leaving it plugged in). I was also unable to remove the lid, ever, even with the help of a second person pulling. I'm not sure how I managed to get a machine with three separate issues but I did, and that never bodes well for QC. After 30 days of fiddling with the controls and re-reading reviews I finally decided my unit was defective and returned it to Amazon.I bought a replacement and it's been more of what I expected. From room temp it cools to 30f in 15-20 minutes (on 120v or 12v). The rear panel is substantial enough to allow me to unplug the cables (though it still feels flimsier than I would prefer) without causing damage. I'm also able to remove the lid with a medium amount of effort.I bought the slide and mounted this in the rear of my SUV so I'm pretty committed to it at this point. Hopefully this replacement unit lasts.
