Get ready to be Nickeled and Dimed
Festool tools are without a doubt, just plain really nice. However, really nice has a price, and that is OK, but when you start to nickel and dime the user, well, I might put up a bit of a stink about that. So, $120 for this product, oh you want to join two together? Another $50 for that, And Oh, you really should have a splinter guard, another $40 please. Another supplier of fine tool accessories has a similar product that is $99 and comes with the connectors and splinter guard. But if you require Festool compatibility, well, there you go. Despite the fact I feel Festool goes out of their way to make their tools really expensive, I don't mind (too much) purchasing them. They are very high quality products, and I only bumped them down one star for being cash grabby.EDIT: OK, I am chastened. I just got the connectors for these rails, and, OK, the connectors are probably worth the $50 and Festool is not quite as cash grabby as I accused them. So, I would say that not only is the Festool System is very good, it is also worth what they are charging.

Great update for my DeWalt Track saw!
The TSO parallel jig required the Festool track, and the DeWalt Track Saw fit it perfectly! High quality and easy to use. This track grips much better than the DeWalt one. My woodworking just got easier and better!

Works well with DeWalt track saw
I got this 55" festool track cause the 55" Dewalt track is out of stock everywhere, and I heard the festool track works with the Dewalt track saw. It does.... works great. Obviously the festool track isn't double sided like the Dewalt, which is unfortunate, however there's an attachment rail on the festool track which the Dewalt doesn't have. I already bought a router accessory for the track but have yet to use it.The festool track is a little thicker than my Dewalt 110" track, which is good cause the Dewalt track gets damaged easily during shipping. The festool track arrived perfect. The initial cut on the rubber edge was much closer to the aluminum than with the Dewalt, which I prefer. There's an excessive amount of extra rubber on my 110" Dewalt track after the initial cut. The Dewalt saw's kickback brake doesn't seem to work on the festool track, but that's OK with me...I think it's more annoying than helpful anyway.Overall it's a great track and I'm glad I bought it.

Quick delivery!
I have the 75" guide rail and wanted the 55" for shorter cuts and easier handling. Festool is fine butif your paying attention to reviews grousing over costs and how well things Festool work together, you might consider other brands for better performing support gear. One dream about buying the saw andone of these rails is, you can measure two places and lay down this fence in place. A clamp lightly on at both ends will keep it in place and the kerf line, once used once, will tell you exactly where to lay this rail.Perfect precise cuts for one at a time setups. For repeatability, you will need an aftermarket alignment system for faster repeat cuts. I waited years to decide to get this setup...and used TSO aftermarket gear.Excellent results and you save money by shopping around for that support gear.

Wish I would have gotten a track saw a long time ago.
This additional track is pricy, heh - as expected from Festool. It is a very high-quality product. The grippy material on the underside provides great traction to keep the rail from sliding, and the zero-clearance strip is effective at reducing tear-out.

Practice makes perfect?
If you are inexperienced using guide tracks (plunge saws), you can expect to see some "bow" in your long cuts (ex: 8 ft plywood rip, with 2 quality FS1400 guides connected). And yes, I did use clamps to help hold my track in place. Since this slight bow mattered in my case. Now I use a clampable, 8 ft solid straight edge to back the two end connected FS1400 guides on those long rip cuts. Problem solved, straight as an arrow.According to You tube videos, this is a matter of inexperience.

So much better than dewalt rails
I have dewalt track saw, this track works with the saw. This track is so much sturdier, has so many other options like attachments to outer edge for routers. Does not move like my dewalt tracks, can be clamped if needed, extended if needed. Still have dewalt tracks but they collect dust now.
