Tamiya 300024337 Vehicles 1:24 Gazoo Racing TRD 86 2013 Rally Challenge

The kit has excellent quality and fit. Comes with precut masking for windows. There are many decals so be prepared with your preferred set and solvent. The hood opens to expose the only weakness from this kit. The ‘sports car series’ motor only has 5 parts. More attention should be paid to the motor in this sports car. The red fluorescent mirrors, wipers, antenna and center console is my choice. Directions call for black wich is boring too me.

I’ve built a to of Tamiya kits over the years and have come viewed them as the standard to measure all other kits. However, the Gaza Racing TRD 86 kit was a bit of a disappointment. The biggest issue I had was the fit for body assembly left a lot to be desired. I found it difficult snug up the pieces for a the more realistic model that I’ve come to expect from Tamiya. Maybe I just have a dud of a kit, but I won’t build this one again. Not a fan.
