Sure, not the cutest or sexiest looking spoon rest, but this pad-style rest makes sense from a practical standpoint. I went with the black colour based on some of the reviews stating that the lighter colours can stain. My stovetop is black, so this blends right in and I leave it out all the time. Things I like:- height is as low is it can be so utensils don't slip off- it's a square (not a shape of a spoon) so you can easily use it with multiple utensils- slots allow things like spatulas to sit on its side, allowing for setting down other utensils alongside easily- backside of the pad (where the head of the utensils sit) is large enough that utensil heads never touch the counter- silicone is super easy to clean and is naturally non-slip- 4 slots is plenty for me. It's the perfect size. Even if I wanted to hide it away when not in use, it's compact enough to store in a drawer.
