I was pleasantly surprised when I tried a couple of these. I have a water garden area that requires a power cord on one side. I bought this item last fall and used it to protect my cord during the winter and spring. I checked multiple times after storms, two of these cases keep my cord connection 99% dry. So far I'm very impressed!!

My wife has a lot of projects in our backyard and they require a long-term extension cord usage. These cords are left outside for long periods of time in all sorts of weather. Because of that I’ve made sure to buy things and products like this to protect the connection between the extension cords. Products like these add to the longevity of the expensive extension cords that I buy for my wife. These are of a decent quality and they look halfway decent. So far these particular ones are pretty waterproof and weatherproof. They provide great electrical connection protection.

I purchased these in July of 2023 now it is February 2026. For the last half a year or so the protector was completely broken and not protecting the connection. As you can see in the photo of the cover it broke off and three of the tabs that lock broke off. I did not run it over with a vehicle. Being kind of thin plastic 2 years of use in desert sun is probably worth the money I paid.
