Solid, good updated design
Replacing an identical kettle which lasted 12years. Is this better than our trusted family boiler (everyone has one)? Yes. Updated base means that even when dripping in water you won't get 240v up your spout. The lid is the lid and comes on and off. The crud filter is still there. The heater element is way better than the old unit and boiling times are very fast even when providing water for an army of tea drinking pensioners. Had it a while now with zero complaints. Hope it lasts as it is not cheap. Time will tell.

Stylish & well made.
Wanted a toaster/kettle that would be aestheticly pleasing in my kitchen as well as work well & hopefully have longevity. If you're buying this, your buying it for the aesthetics, if not you're best going for a cheaper run of the mill that will do the same job.Had it 2 weeks now and so far so good!Pours very well, no drips so far & not too heavy when empty. It's quieter than my last kettle, although it's impossible to get a fully quiet kettle so just glad it's not super loud.Lid feels sturdy and clips on all sides with ease.Only negative is the switch is plastic, not metal as it looks. It a a shame as at this price/look would warrant finer details like this but still happy.

Bit pricey, but it’s a good kettle
Bought as a replacement for an earlier model from same range which had started to leak, not as fancy as the earlier model but it does the job and matches my toaster! The kettle itself is identical but the base plate isn’t anywhere near the same quality as previous model.

Boils water, looks good.
Replacement for four year old and now leaking SMEG, this was bought partly because I have a De'Longhi espresso machine and completely love it. I have therefore a high degree of brand trust. It's noisier than the SMEG, but it's also really quick. How long do you spend each day boiling kettles? I looked at well over a hundred kettles online, but at the Amazon price when I purchased (barely over half of original RRP) this was the best combination of value and aesthetics I could find.

De Longhi brushed stainless steel kettle
My microwave is De Longhi and wanted to get a new kettle of the same make - believing it to be an Italian family business. Was well peeved when it arrived in a big box with “Made in China” written on it! However, it’s a lovely kettle, easy to keep clean, boils rapidly, not too noisy and has a good capacity.

Noisy & pricey
Attractively designed probably in Italy but made in China. Pours very well, and boils fast. Lid must be placed and removed by hand - one less thing to go wrong compared with the tip-up lid. Has a nice solid feel to it but not heavy. Swivel base is handy. Timely free delivery. So why only one star? Very noise and hugely over-priced compared with similar in the £30-£50 range. The handle obscures the window showing the water level. The cord is quite short,

Solid kettle but noisy !
If u want a quiet boil kettle then this is the last one you should consider ! It's like listening to a mix between an aircraft taking off and a freight train rumbling down the track !Does the job but wakes the house up !
