All too often, I see protein shakes instead of meal replacement shakes. I don't know if this is because it's more popular but when I started looking at this specific meal replacement product, I figured I would get it a shot. I was excited when I saw that they had a strawberry flavor because I believe it has a more refreshing flavor instead of dense like chocolate. The taste of this product is absolutely amazing. I'm not kidding, I get excited when I know I'm about to make one because it taste like a strawberry milkshake you would buy from Burger King or anything other fast food place. I use 10oz of water, 2 scoops of powder and just a few ice cubes to make it cold. I noticed that if you use too many ice cubes it will make it very thick and it is very hard to drink. The bottle says you can use your favorite beverage to mix with, but I just use water to avoid any extra calories. I usually have this shake in the morning after I work out and it will keep me full for several hours. I'm a lager guy 6'1 277 lbs so I have a very big appetite. After drinking this shake I sometimes feel like I could still eat something, but I just let time pass and eventually the hunger will go away. Within the first 3 days of using this product I lost about 4 pounds. I was around 283 lbs when I starting drinking this stuff for breakfast and dinner and before I knew it I was below 280. Making up this shake is really easy to do and only takes about 5 minutes. If you are significantly less weight than me, you will probably be full immediately after drinking this. Since I'm a big guy I think I have a much bigger appetite. I just bought another bottle yesterday as a back up because I know I'll be drinking all of this stuff up.In all honestly, it can be a little expensive but if you want a shake that can replace ONE daily meal, I would absolutely buy this stuff. I love having this on hand because if I am not in the mood to cook, or I'm tempted to eat unhealthy for dinner or lunch, I know I can come back to this product and take care of my hunger. Some of the reviews on here say that people are using it multiple times a day for each meal, however I wouldn't recommend it. I think it would be better at a maximum of 2 meals per day.

Breakfast is often the meal I either skip, or get lazy and eat something without a lot of substance to it like cereal. I looked at a lot of different shakes, and decided the Lean Body brand looked the most promising. I started off with chocolate-- It was okay, doable. I'm extra sensitive taste- and texture-wise in the morning, so while I was getting through it, it was not a pleasant start to my day. I tried the chocolate peanut butter flavor next. Much more tolerable, but still kind of weird, though I found by adding cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and clove, it tasted more like a cheap but acceptable chai drink. Still not ideal, though. But for the positive response I was getting from it physically, I was committed to getting used to it! I was wary to try strawberry, since that can be a disastrous flavor, but went ahead and took a chance and ordered that flavor next.It. Was. Delicious. Genuinely, not even compromising. Creamy, smooth, fruity-- That sugar-alternative flavor was barely noticeable... My brother is a big work-out junkie and drinks a LOT of intense shakes and tried it, and couldn't believe how good it was. "It's like drinking a milkshake!!" He ended up asking if he could use a scoop of mine to make his taste better. Now in the morning, I genuinely ENJOY drinking this stuff, and I know I'm starting my morning with plenty of stuff I need to have a healthy day and get me in good mindset to continue that later. I truly believe that I've felt an improvement in my overall health from drinking this daily. I'm always nervous about cost, but you gotta' figure this is about two bucks a serving, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a meal that's this quick, rounded, and enjoyable for less!
