This baking thermometer comes with a LR44 (AG13) button battery. It is not rechargeable and when the original battery used up, please replace it with a new one.

Haven't had to calibrate and I'm using it constantly. Will research and report back. What is happening with yours?

It does not, but I will say I've been using this thermometer for about 3 months for candle making and I am pleased.
