Buy On the Cosmic Mystery of Jesus Christ: Selected Writings from St. Maximus by Confessor, S (ISBN: 9780881412499) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: From a publishing standpoint this book is very nicely done with a nice layout and text that is easy to read. Covers a niche in christian history and understanding. Review: The Kindle version of this book is a complete disaster: terrible formatting, spaces within words, random characters appearing (encoding / code page issues). How could the publishers do this to a work of such profound wisdom 🤬

I bought the Kindle edition of the book, and found it unreadable. The text of both the introduction and the actual statements by Maximus is mixed up with the footnotes, and as there are a great many footnotes, this makes it impossible to decipher what Maximus wants to teach. The printed version may be better, but I can't judge, as I couldn't manage to follow his teachings in this version. I would advise anyone wanting to read Maximus to try another publication. It's a pity, because the publisher is very reputable.
