The silver sulfadiazine used to clean the area around my port resulted in massive hives. The alcohol they switched to dried out my skin, caused irritation and blisters. This is the only antiseptic medical staff can use frequently without a reaction. 18 months with y port so far and zero infections. Highly recommend this as a daily cleaner for appropriate medical devices and wounds.

I use this daily on a PD catheter and have never had a problem with infection. I’ve also used it for other wound care and doctors have commented positively on the cleanliness and condition of incisions, etc.From a comfort perspective, I’ve never had it irritate my skin or cause any discomfort. I’ll probably continue using for wound care even after my catheter goes away.I especially like the fact that this bottle is smaller than the one I was getting with my dialysis supplies. It is easier to use and store.

This product is great if you have a cut. Apply to cut and it will heal a lot faster
