Solid Product
Solid product that is well built and priced right. Easy to install with included mounting hardware and once mounted they're very sturdy. Only complaint is they aren't ideal for spinning rods/reels. They will fit in the rod holder but have to ride upside down or sideways which leaves quite a bit of room for the rod to move around in the rod holder. Still usable with spinning gear, just not ideal. Hopefully they'll make another model that fits these bases and can accommodate other types of rods and reels. Installed three of them in less than an hour and caught several fish on them that evening with no issues at all. Pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one.

Fits a future beach 126 kayak
This fits my future beach 126 angler kayak. It's a little bigger than I need, it fits my medium heavy catfish rods, my medium bass rods both spinning and bait cast: it also can hold my 5/6 weight fly rod (just not snug). I'm only giving it three stars because the locking mechanism is kinda a pain, that time figiting can to unlock means a few missed fish for some people. This is detachable so I can carry my kayak then easily install it, or store it in my crate between trips. I might even run attach my rod leash by running the detatchable part through my leash loop. The nuts that come with the bolt have the rubber seal in them so they are less apt to undo themselves.

Well made and easy to use
I put them on a boat that the holders had to be mounted to the raised deck areas. I had to purchase extensions for them to meet my needs. I wasn't sure if they would be strong enough with the extensions but they are well made and have held up to hard fish strikes and a couple of snagged lines while trolling. As long drag is set on your reels it should not be a problem. I set mine tight and then hand pulled the line while the boat was in my drive to see what would happen and they worked fine. I did that test because I would not want to lose a rig because a rod holder failed.

Easily the best rod holder you can buy!
I just received my Brocraft rod holder and it is everything I was wanting it to be. The size is just right for bass rods with handles about 1 inch in diameter. Very solidly built, the base and body are made of what looks like heavy duty ABS plastic. The adjustment knob is comfortably large and easy to adjust, super easy actually, it spins easily with the flick of a finger and snugs down tightly when clamped to hold the barrel in any angled position you choose. The locking ring near the front is easy to rotate and snap into place and holds firmly to secure a rod, yet it is also just as easy to unclip and rotate again to get your rod out. The barrel of the rod holder has a notch on the bottom at the front end allowing spinning reels a place to hang down and be secured in the notch while still allowing the rod to be removed without unlocking the ring. This same notch also works on the trigger of baitcast rods as well. If you want the rod locked in instead, slide it back so the reel rests in the cutout sectionof the barrel (spinning reels lay sideways here, baitcasters upright) and then twist the lock ring closed. Now your rod cannot come out until the ring is unlocked. The holder base is very nice with the locking mechanism it has. When locked there is no play or slop at all, the rod holder feels as though it is all one piece. Press the red button to release and change positions or remove to add other accessories that use this same base. The base can be mounted on a flat surface or on a vertical surface, and locks either way. The holder came with two sets of stainless hardware which are four #10 sheet metal screws and also a set of four machine thread screws, washers, and nylon ring lock nuts so you have a choice of hardware to mount with. This is so nice I'm sorry I only need one because I'd for sure order again. Eat your heart out, Scotty! Brocraft has you beat!

Kinda bulky for freshwater rods and reels.
I love the quality of these and would be perfect for offshore rods and reels, but they are just too large for your standard palm casting reels of today. If your looking for a good quality set of rod holders consider the Brocraft 2 pack, they are much better sized for today’s reels.

Locking strap is way cheaper than the rest of the holder.
I like everything about this but the locking mechanism. It is all very sturdy and well made except this part. When trolling with heavier gear this locking strap doesn't even come close to holding my rod in the holdler. For trolling light gear it is probably fine, but for heavier gear with some strain it is severely inadequate, and I am afraid I could lose or break my pole. I just used it for the first time and am past my return window, but I would exchange it if I could.

High Quality
Put these on my kayak. Was worried might be cheap quality, but took a chance to save a couple dollars. These are super strong, mega adjustable and really lock into position and place. Mounting hardware is high quality too. You will not be disappointed. I'll be getting several other sets!

I switched to this one and just love it!
I usually don't write review but this time is different. This item is way much better than its peers on Amazon but I guest it wont attract the first attention when people are searching this kind of stuff. It just doesn't have the good marketing but it has the best function you can rely on.Read the description carefully and you will see the reasons. Plus it is even a bit cheaper.

Do not buy this product! You have been warned....
Do not buy this product! I have purchased the regular rod holders and the more heavy duty rod holders, from the same company. As you can see from the photos, I am now out $800 worth of muskie rod and reel because I trusted this product. The drag was loose so if it caught a snag or a fish the line would reel. That didn't happen. The plastic snapped and my rod and reel and $90 muskie lure are gone.Avoid this product and company by all means. It is cheap junk. Not for serious anglers. The company will try to send you more cheap junk and ask you to edit your honest review. I am not going to be sold out on editing my review. Avoid this company!

Not heavy-duty
I previously ordered 3 brocraft extended powerlock rod holders. I needed two more but didnt need the extensions and ordered these which has the same description. They are not at all the same. The extended version rod holder is much beefer and stronger and seems to be better quality. These are like its week little brother and i would be hesitant to use them when trolling.

great looking product
pleased with the product solidly built I think it will be great whenever I can go fishing when travel restriction are gone (covid19) the locking tab should stop anymore lost reel/rod flipping aout. Last year my $300 rod-reel just disappeared behind my back while trolling for walleye & pike …. it was a big one or a big snag on a submerged log

Great quality
It holds rods securely and seems to be well built. It fit the Feelfree unitrak adapter plate on my kayak perfectly. The included mounting hardware was a nice touch.

Everything I have gotten from Brocraft has been great.
Excellent product. Purchased these to replace my scotty rod holders for the simple fact that these are secured with a release button.
