First off, mosquitos are incredibly hard to kill. And with Dengue around (I live in the tropics) it has become critical to do so.And rackets are the most non-chemical effective weapon yet. Of all I tried, the Executioner has been my favorite for years. It is relatively expensive but it works and lasts.I love the feedback: flash, thunder, and sometimes smoke (unlike the overly protected Black and Decker I also got, which lets you wondering if you made the kill.Words of caution: be careful not to hit something hard in the frenzy of the battle and break the racket.Finally, I like the use of standard batteries, but do consider rechargeables. And don't touch it while pressing the button: it won't harm you but it's unpleasant).

With the zombie like invasion of miller moths in Colorado this year I needed a weapon to defend myself. I choose this model because it doesn't have that protection layer over the electrified bars. These moth didn't stand a chance. The satisfying pop as you watch them fall to the ground is so satisfying. But as with any zombie invasion don't forget rule #2 double tap. Some moths are able to withstand the first hit but stuns them long enough to get a solid squish in. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone overrun during this invasion.

Had an executioner go out last week after using it for a year almost everyday (country living tends to mean flies) with no issues. This version doesn't 'pop' or carry the same charge as the previous version from the UK. Many times the fly doesn't die. But it's decent, a bit flimsy as 2 wires disconnected after only having it for 2 days. Still working but doesn't seem like it will for long.

It probably won’t work for small insects like fruit flies and gnats. But it works great on flies and wasps. Doesn’t always kill the wasps, but it stuns them long enough to step on them. The reason this model works so well is because there is not a protective shield over the live wires. So smaller insects can easily slip through. The “ZAPPER” which I also have, isn’t as efficient on larger insects as the “Executioner” is because it has a protective wire face on both sides, shielding the live wire mesh inside. So larger insects hit the outer protective wires and aren’t small enough to go through it to the “execution zone”! You might want to consider one of each; one for tiny insects and one for larger insects. Whichever you buy, get the largest size available.

This thing really works.

Product makes a Loud Audible POP every time you hit a fly with it. Then the fly just twitches on the ground for a minute or two, afterwards gets up and resumes its daily life. Despite multiple shocks with this product, it still doesn't kill anything. Acts more like a stun gun/non lethal tazer if you will. Unless you squish them right away you're just going to be zapping flys all day with no actual results.

Batteries and battery compartment come loose frequently

This works quite well preforming its job as advertised and is fun to use.

Do not get this product if you have kids or anybody who is curious to see what would happen if you turn this on and touch the zapping part - there is no protection and it will end in tears.Also, this thing knows what it is and does it well. Bugs go fizz, bugs go pop and sometime a little in between. Sometimes so loud, you expect some kind of bug popcorn to happen.

Great fun and does what it says

Being overly large and heavy makes it cumbersome to use. Flies on windows unless in the middle of the pane invariably escape. The zap is very effective on smaller insects.
