My husband’s favorite coffee cup
This was purchased as a gift for my husband so that he will have his favorite coffee mug at home and in the RV. He enjoys his coffee piping hot and is pleased that the Snow Peak double walled mug keeps it hot enough for long enough that he doesn’t fell like he has to gulp it down. The only negative is the staining that becomes more and more difficult to wash away the more it is used. But, with it being exclusively used by him and always for coffee and always with the lid (sadly, must be purchased separately), who cares?

I love the lid but...
I bought this a few months after I bought a Snow Peak Titanium Double Wall Cup in 450 ml. I love the cup too but this is about the lid. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of two reasons. The first one is why didn’t they sell this with the cup? The second is the shipping costs. I live in Alaska and since this was a separate item I had to pay $9.99 for the shipping. Of course if I thought about it I would have bought more than one lid. (Anyways you shouldn’t write about your shipping experience.) per the tips and guidelines. I think if the cup and the lid were sold together I would buy some for gifts. As it is, the item works like it should. It doesn’t leak. It helps to retain the heat if you are making tea or coffee.

Works for what it was designed for, sort of. I switched the Klean Kanteen lids instead.
It fits the Snow Peak cups, it works, it keeps stuff hot or cold. It is overpriced, but if you want to use a Snow Peak cup, and keep stuff warm longer this is the only choice. It fits snuggly, and stays in place. At least it is ABS so there are no plastic or chemical leaching issues, no BPA or BPS etc. However even though it fits well, liquid still drips out sometimes when drinking from the cup. I would have to say that this product fails to live up to the high standards of Snow Peaks name and products. It is worth noting that i stopped using this lid and now use a Klean Kanteen Tumbler lid, which is much lighter, fits better, and DOES NOT drip .... And is generally cheaper than the snow peak lid, except here where the price is twice the street price.

Super snug lid for your Snow Peak 450 mugs
I should first note that we use this lid for both Snow Peak double walled 450 mugs. These two:http://www.amazon.com/Snow-Peak-Double-Wall-Size/dp/B00IADMNGShttp://www.amazon.com/Snow-Peak-Titanium-Double-Stackable/dp/B000B8PQ00 (the H450, not the H300)The lid fits snug and keeps your contents warm. Or cold if you are going that route. My girlfriend uses her Snow Peak mugs on the trail, in the campground, and around the house. For hot and cold stuff. And the lid is an essential part of holding the temperature. So be sure to add one to your purchase if it doesn't come with one. And most of them do not come with one.

Love it when I need it
Most of the time I don't need this, but on the go this lid makes the Snow Peak cups much more functional. Granted the cups and lids are expensive, but use them for 20 years and then reevaluate.

... it fit my snow peak double wall 450 mug pretty well, but just barely
Whenever I got the letter in the mail it fit my snow peak double wall 450 mug pretty well, but just barely. I've only tested the mug with the lid with cold liquids so far and it works all the way up to when you start to hold it sideways, as if you're finishing off your drink. If you don't ever plan to accidentally knock it over, then it might work for you. I will be looking for a better rubber sealing ring that I can put into the lid so that it is more snug on my mug.

Product does its job but I don't tend to use it as much
It goes perfectly with the Snow Peak double wall mugs and gives extra insulation, Keeps liquid hot for longer in cold conditions (or the other way around) and reduces spillages on the move. Is it necessary? Some will love it, others will think its an extra item to carry and clean (and extra cost). I only use it sporadically. I'm usually too eager to get stuck into the coffee/soup to bother putting it on. :)

Pricey, works only OK, but you probably want one anyway
This is a nice addition to the Snow Peak mug, but it's fairly plain jane for the price you pay. Just a plastic insert, no way to close it off, not really particularly secure. But if you use your mug in the car or on a cold morning camping it's nice to have a little splash protection and extra thermal insulation. Should be included with the mug IMHO at the price they charge for it, instead of sold separately.

Satisfied
Work fine. Quick and easy. Won’t stop spill if tipped but that is not a concern for me.
