I tried other ones and none worked for me. I sent them back. However, this one got my attention due to the light and how it folds into the lap desk. You can use it or store it. The light works great making it easy to see things clearly at night. Of course, the memory foam makes it so comfortable on your lap. Very easy to clean and, it also has a built-in wrist rest cushion. What more could you want? I would highly recommend this lap desk.

Bought this for my Mom who now has to be in assisted living. She loves it and receives complements on it from the folks that the assisted living facility. She loves the light on this lap desk as it comes in handy when she is working on her word find books or coloring books. She uses it often when sitting in her recliner. It is so versatile when she wants a flat surface to use when in her recliner. She also likes the built in wrist rest for the added support. This lap desk comes Mom approved!

The desk surface is smooth yet not slick so laptop doesn’t slide around. The light is great, and the size is perfect for what I wanted.

Bought for my fiancé because he’s always on his devices. He really likes it and says it’s very comfortable - the padding and the wrist rest. He can’t keep it off his legs therefore, I identify as a lap desk from now on. It holds his 15’ MacBook Pro along with a side of hot chocolate comfortably. The light does not come with batteries but conveniently tucks away in a covered slit along the top when not in use. It requires 4 AA batteries and is very convenient because he reads before bed and I prefer to sleep with the lights off.

I love lapdesks so much I now buy them for my friends in college or otherwise. Being able to work from your car passenger seat, couch, bed, etc is unmatched. I do recommend getting one with the light and the arm rest not for comfort, but because it keeps your mouse from falling as mice don’t have grips like laptops do. My laptop doesn’t slide at all though which is nice.Wide enough for full mousepad and mouse, and 17in asus laptop side by side

Has made it much easier to work from bed. I have a massive laptop and this fits it when so many other "laptop" things don't (finding a laptop bag is almost impossible).

Lapdesk works well, but light is very dim, just buy the one without the light, of find a different USB light for it.
