I recently purchased this dust cover to help prevent dust from getting all over any bedrooms that I was installing 6-in pod lights in. Now don't let this cover or bowl being plastic interfere with what it does well. Because this thing is so much better than the metal ringed alternative.I purchased the metal-ringed alternative first because I thought it would be more durable. Bad move. The ring came off on the very first go-around with the drill. This made all the dust and debris fallout of the bottom of the dust bowl.I gave up on that dust Bowl and immediately ordered this one because of all the stellar reviews. This guy worked so well that I don't have a speck of dust anywhere else in my room. I am so impressed that I have actually lent this out to my neighbors. I drilled 18 holes in my ceiling for various lights and fixtures and I can say I don't have a disaster in any area. The plastic is still very much intact and the ring that goes on top of your drill doesn't even look like it's been used. I can't be more impressed with this dust Bowl. Well worth the $15 or $17.

Works as expected, keeps the mess contained (at least 95% of it)

Kudos to a fellow reviewer who recommended using a pair of fender washers to bridge the gap between my drill chuck and pilot bit; without those, this thing would be unusable for me (Milwaukee hole saw with their standard quick-change arbor doesn't allow for them to go between the arbor and the hole saw itself, so I had to install on the back-side of the arbor, with washers to bridge the gap and create a tight-enough join to avoid major wobble-age.)That said, once I got that taken care of, this thing absolutely rocked. I was able to drill 10 holes in a drywall ceiling and spill maybe a tablespoon or two of dust onto the carpet in total. After every hole or two, I'd carefully dump out the bowl full of drywall dust, and the drilled-out "pucks" from my hole saw, into the trash, and quickly wipe out this device to restore visibility and see what/where I was drilling. Worked like a charm, and when I forgot to wipe it down between uses I was able to just knock the sides with the bowl held loosely against the ceiling, and see enough to make it work from that point.Great product, with some fiddling needed to make it actually work.

If you’re drilling holes over head, you’ll need this. Easy to use. No dust in your face.

Wow. This thing is a game changer. I’m not sure it’s wonderboard but all the “Sheetrock” in our house is about an inch thick and is very very annoying to cut through. Create so much dust and literally kills multi tool bits within mins. Because of that, when putting in led can lights it’s a royal pain to the point we haven’t completed all the fixtures we would like because of all the mess. Enter this guy. The arbor hole was bigger than my 3/8 arbor, which is a touch annoying so it didn’t fit perfectly but otherwise it worked flawlessly. Saved so much time in cleanup. Very quick to get in and get out. Soooo happy!

This is the best thing since sliced bread. I can't believe how well it worked!
