It was a fair price when I purchased
They want a VFM rating but keep altering the price, first time builders consider your needs, 5.1 audio, WIFI, BT this board has none of these features and PCIE cards/usb dongles will be needed at additional costs ,so maybe look at a full ATX board that has these features this board is worth not much more than £50 if that, also be aware of potential issues with newer chips and BIOS version compatibility (normally a sticker on the mobo has the factory installed version number on it) while a monster top of the line all singing all dancing mobo isn't needed for most people the form factor and lack of features limits its VFM rating, however that being said ASUS are known for their better quality control and durability so given a choice between this basic ASUS board and other brands, experience has shown me that ASUS do make better products.

Solid, basic motherboard.
This is a review for the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard.I've just assembled everything, that is a Ryzen 5 1600 and Crucial Ballistix Sport memory (2 x 4GB DDR4 2400). POSTed first time. BIOS version was 0402 out of the box. Note that the new APUs need a more recent version (3803). Check the Asus website for more info.Early days yet, but everything seems fine. Obviously this is an entry level board. No overclocking possible on this chipset. This set up was an upgrade from an AM3+ board with a Phenom II X4 965. I assumed that a clean install of Windows 10 would be required, but just for fun let it boot to the existing HDD. Surprisingly, after Windows doing a brief auto setup, everything worked fine. It even stayed activated. I had already linked the license to my Microsoft account, in case of problems. So in summary, a good basic board for those who aren't too fussed about messing about with settings or overclocking.Update: A couple of months on and there have been no problems at all. I upgraded the graphics card to this: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC), 06G-P4-6163-KR and tidied up the cables. Also added: Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State DriveAll housed in a Fractal Design Core 1000 case, making for a subtle gaming machine that can handle 1440p.

Cheap Ryzen board for mATX build
If you want a small mATX but decently powerful system with perhaps the new Ryzen 2 with Vega graphics - since you pretty much cannot buy a GPU at a decent price due to crypto-mining - I think this is ideal. With a 2400g this board flies - 2 slots are enough for 16GB DDR4 memory (though perhaps you would be better off with faster 8GB memory for Ryzen especially APU), slot for NVMe SSD (don't forget a cheap heatsink for it, even 2 quid one makes difference), even has TPM (for BitLocker), decent amount of USB3 ports, decent audio - and even LEDs for audio path! You have a 16x slot should you want to upgrade later to a more powerful GPU and 2 1x slots for sattelite card or better NIC etc.One downside is just 2 fan sockets (1 for CPU) but with PWM control get some 4-pin fan splitters (or Arctic PST fans) and it's all good (using 4x 80mm fans in Silverstone Milo case).Obviously A320 chipset means no overclocking but with Turbo/Boost you still get a lot of performance for your money. The B350 version is 50% more so better be sure you really need it.If you want Aura LED control (e.g. if using the AMD LED fan) or need 2 16x slots Asus do the EX320 board very similar to this for a good price also. But again for value this is the standard to beat.

Great entry level board.
Great upgrade path with a great price. Has a power issue with the board but after reseating all components worked great again. Would recommend for someone that does not care about RBG or overclocking.

Best budget AM4 board
My old amd was burnt out and my old mobo even more so. I got some funds together and decided to get a new ryzen chip after good reviews. I never normally buy gen 1 cpus but this time decided why not. Just a ryzen 5 1400 to test my toes. And for the cheapest AM4 mobo this did surprise. ASUS as usually have made a solid board. It's not brilliant but it's definitely a solid budget ryzen board. PROS. This board does what it's meant to, run. Bios is simple to use and the ui is tasteful. Cheap. This board is a great priced board. But not too cheap that quality is sacrificed. CONS this is a budget entry mobo. No VRM heat sinks so I wouldn't expect any realistic overclocking on this board. So definitely not an enthusiast or high end gamer mobo. MATX board, so very little to work with. 2 RAM slots and 1 pci-e x16 slot. No fancy features such as wifi or firewire. Overall this is probably one of the best budget mobos I've worked with. Go for a better Asus b350 or X370 if you want better features and overclocking utility. But in terms of budget and simple this is definitely a good buy
