Fun game
Great game, ages playing 7 upto 57 and we all had fun. Some knowledge of Harry Potter would help, but I still managed to play.

As a potterhead, I could not wait to play this game. The riddles and spells are really well done. The way the dragons are handled is a bit bland, but it's understandable to keep the game playable from the age of 8+. Maybe a more "simple" and "advanced" kind of rulebook would have been nice. A lot of the rules are unclear and counteract eachother. As an explanation for the magical encounter it says "choose when to play this", but in the later rules it says they happen instantly? It also does not specify if you land on a dragon a tile is on- does this hurt you? It does not specify if there is a limit of spells per turn... We ran into a lot of "what now" scenario's where we had to make it up as we go. Unfortunately I like to play by the rules and the lack of rules is cause for argument, which destroys the fun of the game.

This game shouldn't say it's for ages 8 and up, it should be for ages 8 and lower. There is zero skill required for this game, it is literally just drawing cards until you get three of a kind. My wife and I played it once and afterwards looked at each other and said "that's it?". I feel my 8 year old would get bored of this game too. Save your money, pass on this one.
