Great deal great knives
Love theses knives! They are nice and sharp, easy to hold and use (even with my arthritis pain) and gorgeous. I'm so happy with them, and they are such an amazing price! I plan to get another set for my sister. They are not heavy, but you know you've got them in your hand. They are just perfect.

Smaller than I thought
Be sure to look at measurements thoroughly. I didn’t and I was surprised by small size. However, they are very sharp and do the job I need them to do. Quality seems to be good.

Works Amazing
I’ve been looking for the best knife sets and I can’t believe I found the best ones. They sharp and smooth, it slices and chops so easily. I’m loving it. I always knew Emeril Lagasse’s kitchen ware are great but as knife set I can see they work so well and nice. Now I know what brand to buy.

The Emeril 2 piece knife set is great. Packaging was professional
I'm the daddy of 3 growing boys, each of whom are spending more time in the kitchen. Consequently, we're going through dishes and cookware faster than ever. So, I keep buying more cookware to keep up with how much everything is getting used. The Emeril 2 piece knife set is great. Packaging was professional, paper and bubble wrapped, and delivered as expected. The knives themselves are nice and sharp. Since I'm doing video reviews using the products now, I'll have that video posted soon as well, but wanted to at least post that I'm very pleased with the set I bought. Whether I've been opening up plastic packaging to open up what I'm cooking or slicing and dicing the food I'm about to cook up, these knives have already proved a smart purchase.

Seven years later..
Amazon tells me that I bought this set in 2016. The reason I know this is bc I just got a Hammer Stahl 5” Santoku for about $30 and was deeply disappointed with the design. The steel on the HS is farrrr superior. However, the handle and blade design on the Emeril Santoku is soooo much more comfortable, it’s smooth, and has a decent weight to it. The blade design is also sufficiently wide to be comfortable and it has a slight curve to it for rocking the blade as you chop. Yes, the steel is pretty much garbage and I chucked the paring knife ages ago, it was so egregiously dull I couldn’t stand it. However, I now have an electric knife sharpener and put this Santoku back into service. It’s a better design than the Hammer Stahl by far, and I would get another one if the steel was even half way decent. Also, seven years in the plastic is cracking and is going to fall apart soon. (I think due to occasionally being thrown into the dishwasher/exposed to heat). All in all— if you don’t want something that will last decades and you have a knife sharpener that you are willing to use for these knives every third or fourth carrot, this is the set for you. I am shocked at how much better designed this knife is and in some ways made, than a knife three times the price. I wouldn’t say I recommend this knife simply bc the steel is so bad, but it’s shockingly decent and comfortable for the price. If you can afford slightly better, I recommend Scan Pan’s knives as they are not ridiculously expensive (nor super cheap), and use the same steel as the Hammer Stahl, which is more importantly the same steel that Wustof Trident uses. I.e. pretty dang good. The Scan Pan is nicely designed and functional, uses good steel, and is within reach price wise (I picked up their 5” santoku for $27, which is $3 less than the extremely disappointing Hammer Stahl 5” santoku). If you just need a little knock around knife or for camping or something, this set is a good little set, just get a knife sharpener bc you will need it.

Amazing knives for the price
Amazing knives for the price! My Santoku knife had bit the dust in a rather distressing way--the blade separated from the handle and went flying across the kitchen....good thing my eye didn't get in the way! I wanted a Cutco to match my set but I balked at the $118 price tag and decided to try this set instead and am very happy with it. The way it's constructed it won't self-destruct like my old cheap one did, and it feels great in the hand. I use once or twice a day for veggies, fruit, meat, etc. I always wash and dry it immediately so I can't say if it would rust or not, but I suspect not.
