This is best I've owned! It has tightness adjustment and comes with Allen head wrench for adjustment. This also has a locking lever so you can take your imprint and lock the imprint in place. The comb is beveled which makes working with the imprint easier. This is plastic comb material of the proper stiffness but will not easily break. Very well built and good features. I'm coming over to this style gauge from a metal pin comb which walked away as a loaned tool, thank you for not returning as I like my new tool!

I use contour gauges in my ship modeling hobby. The 12" model is especially useful with model hull wider decks. One big advantage of this item is the ability to lock the contour once measurement is taken, very easy to use. For the price it is well worth having this on your workbench.
