Although some of the reviews are true and once it's used and washed the bottom of the pan develops marks, this is my favourite pot to use for stews and chillis.

Excellent pot. Used it loads of times to cook up large batches. Cleans easy and will be buying another soon.

I bought the 23l pot and am delighted with the quality, size and customer service from Homichef. Not only is it a beautiful piece of engineering it came with 2 complimentary utensils also shiny robust. I have read the sealing instructions carefully and will attempt that this evening. I was even more impressed by a follow up reminder from my local customer service rep emphasising the instructions and providing an online pdf manual. Price wise it seems a very good deal. I bought the pot for steaming/sterilising jars but my son already has his eye on it for cooking for is friends.

The stock pot (11 litre) came in a well packaged thick cardboard box for protection. The pot looked and felt high quality out of the box, it is very sturdy! The polished finish is excellent, The bottom of the pot is very thick, unlike some others that are quite thin. I used this pot to make a stew, the stew remained hot for a long time after turning the cooker off. Food did not get burned at the bottom of the pot because of the thick bottom - with a thinner bottom pot, this happened often with me. The glass lid is very good and is very strong and well made. The pot came with a ladle and this is also well made! Guaranteed for 6 years as well - I think that it will last for a lot longer than that, as the construction, look and feel of the pot is outstanding. I am glad I bought this, I would recommend this and I am going to buy another one of a slightly smaller size.Cleaning the pot is so easy, no need to scrub the pot hard, I just used a light sponge and then only the smooth side, absolutely fantastic! Finally, I am not exaggerating when I say that this is an item of the very highest quality.
