FEL-PRO 61106 Exhaust Pipe Flange Gasket for Toyota Corolla

After 200,000 miles the OEM version of this gasket disintegrated from normal wear and tear over the last 17 years. This Fel-Pro part # 61106 is an exact replacement for the exhaust gasket that is held together by the twin bolts with springs - joint between the Y-pipe and catalytic converter. Toyota exhaust diagram has the OEM part # as 17451-0D020. Failure symptoms were slight exhaust leak from the failed gasket and an annoying exhaust system rattle at idle that was not a rattling heat shield. I took a chance this gasket would work and it fit perfect. Note - make sure all of the old gasket is completely removed - mine was in a bazillion pieces with one piece stuck to the top of the pipe that i could not see but could feel and I could not scrape off. Had to use a very thin metal file and filed it away. Did not take long since the gasket material is made of some soft metal. Used my foot to push back on the muffler which opened the joint gap about 1.5 inches to get the new gasket installed. Gasket fit perfect on the pipe, flanges came together and seated the gasket, installed the bolts/springs. No more exhaust leak and the annoying exhaust system rattle at idle is gone.

Perfect fit on my 2010 subaru legacy. Installed invidia catback exhaust and needed a new donut gasket due to the old one being too rusty and causing exhaust leak. Installed this donut gasket along with new invidia catback exhaust and it fit perfectly with no issues and no exhaust leak.

This fit the 2015 Outlander Sport 2.0L, outlet of manifold/cat assembly. Normally prefer Mahle or Bosal, they have more wire mesh beneath the graphite, but this arrived fastest and sealing fine. Received one day after ordering, and I got the right part! Great quality that was the same size and shape of the OEM exhaust gasket that came off my 2012 CT200h.

Knocked off the stock ring and all the rust off the pipe (Ohio winters baby) wire brushed it, covered it in red gasket sealer then tapped on this one with a wood block and bolted it up. Been going strong for a few weeks now.

UPDATE March 6, 2024: From the installation of the new exhaust gasket till the 5th Month, the car was very quiet. Then from months 6 to 9 after installation, there were squeaking and rubbing sounds coming from the area where the "new" gasket was installed. Between 10 to 11 months the car sounded like the exhaust gasket failed. Taking apart "AGAIN" to see what was causing the problem, the exhaust gasket was torn apart. Installation was made by a certified Toyota mechanic with over 25 years of experience. I remember he told me last year to use Original parts or to use Walker brand Exhaust 31639 Pipe Flange Gasket because he never had any problems or any clients coming back for any warranty using that brand. Took it back to the same mechanic to install a new exhaust gasket using the Walker brand he recommended to me and the Fel-Pro gasket was torn apart same as the picture posted by another buyer. Perfect fit for 2005 Toyota Prius. Fel-Pro makes quality parts, and the price is very reasonable for this donut gasket. This goes between the exhaust header and the catalytic converter. Pro-tip: the spring bolt will probably be seized tight with rust. Use a torch on the nut to un-seize the spring bolt, touch the hot threads with a crayon or other wax so that it wicks between nut and bolt, then turn the bolt out while still hot. Should come apart easily with hand tools.

I used this between exhaust pipe coming from the engine to the main pipe under the van. There is a joint there with some springs for tension. The old gasket had failed after 300k km so it sounded like a racing van. 5 min under the van and we are back to quiet again.
