Does anyone know what that weird gel is surrounding the food in this and other Pedigree products?

The amount of Aspic has gone way up recently. I have 12 dogs so I buy lots of dog food and have seen what appears to be a move by Pedigree to put less meat in each can and thinking we won't notice. Just separated the contents of a can today and it was 1/8 Aspic.

Is the price for 24 cans of 22 ounces?

NO! this is the second time I ordered from Amazon dog food advertised 12 cans at 22 ounces and yet again I received 12 cans at 13.2 ounces this is such fraudulent advertising!!!
