Amazon Essentials Women's Surplice Dress (Available in Plus Size)

I dont buy nearly any other clothes these days except for Amazon Essentials, and this dress is no exception. I am wearing a size medium. I have this dress in three colors—navy, green, and now black!! I also have the long version.Girls: DO IT. This is the comfiest dress in the universe, and so flattering (even for a broad-shouldered lady like myself). It is buttery soft & effortless, wonderful for summer days. I feel SO PRETTY—and modest!!! Ladies!!! It hits just above the knees!!! You can bend over in peace! 11/10 recommend. Love this dress! This is my 3rd one. I am 5'2 and 160 lbs. I ordered the size L and it fits perfectly. The material is comfortable and cool, stretchy. It comes slightly below the tops of my knees. Bodice covers nicely, the elastic under the bodice gives it shape. Works well for an apple shape or even a pregnant belly!

The quality of the dress is good. The fabric is soft and comfortable. The skirt is very full so the drape is heavy and hangs in such a way that on me it looks saggy and too big! The waistband is elastic so I would order one size smaller than needed and because of the elastic it should fit fine. Im going to return and reorder a size smaller.

I am 5'8" tall and weigh about 155 lbs with a 38C chest. This dress was perfect on me. The length was great and the top fit very well. I received several compliments the first time I wore it. I'm usually not a dress girl, but wanted something nice and cool to wear this summer besides shorts. The price was amazing on this dress, so I thought I would give it a try, and wow was I pleased. The fabric is nice and soft and flows beautifully. I have washed it and hung it to dry and it looks like new. I loved it so much I ordered it in another color too. I wore it with some strappy sandals but I think you could dress it up with some heels as well. I highly recommend trying this dress.

These dresses are offered in solid colors and patterns. The dresses are very soft, comfortable and flattering, however, the patterned ones are longer than the solids. To some that may not matter, but on me, it made the patterned ones look dowdy and matronly. The solids are not too short at all (I’m 5’6) and they are a couple inches above the knee. The patterned hit the knee and looked very unflattering. Just my opinion of course, but buyers should know. I bought 6 and am keeping the 4 solids and returning the 2 patterned.

It’s comfy and cute. It can be dressed up or down. It fits me just above the knee. The front is cut a little low, but you could easily pin it or wear a tank with it. I hang it to dry. Good value.

Super cute dress that’s comfortable and looks great. It’s not clingy and doesn’t wrinkle. It’s great for summer when it’s hot out. I love that I can just throw it on and go. It fits true to size.

This dress was uber comfortable, very flattering, and I was getting lots of complements. Lightweight, fit to size. It needed a little ironing out of my suitcase but freshened up quick. I liked the length, the bust can be a bit much.
