I was told you should take down your American flag each night by a colonel in my neighborhood...I have to climb a ladder to do this....my sweet boss told me about these lights....SO easy and well made! i put in a planter and you can maneuver it in any direction. different light settings and it came on last night at dusk and was on till 5 a.m.--and the light on the flag was spectacular....and the colonel will be happy, too:)

Very effective solar collectors. Great adjustability. Earlier ones I purchased still work perfectly after three years. Don’t overlook the hard to see on/off button that can be accidentally depressed while handling/inserting the unit in the ground, and make you think the unit is broken.

Worked good for a couple months then just stopped working. Took apart to see bad rust & corrosion. Apparently water had gotten inside.EDIT: Seller offered full refund.

These solar lights were purchased to highlight Christmas wreaths on the outside of the home, and they were perfect. After Christmas I left them out in the yard for decorative purposes and they worked well for about a week. Unfortunately, the weather turned a little cold here in South Carolina and one of the lights no longer works, they apparently have a shorter life span in cold weather perhaps they will recover next year for Christmas when I try them again.They worked for the intended purpose so I will rate them three stars!

I have had this unit in operation for a year now. I do like its light on my flag at the front of my house. It illuminates the flag from 11' while not disrupting the interior of the house at 18' in the orientation I am using. I do not like the lack of adjustment on the solar panel. There is a tilt adjustment, but no pan. You can adjust the angle of solar reception, but only inline with the light. So, for me to use effectively I would need to place this light about 45° to the South, which would shine into the doorway and make it difficult to view arrivals at the front door. So it works OK, but I will not buy another of these.
