Excellent Quality and Versatile!
I am a cook and can make my own Sauce Béchamel (white sauce), but sometimes I need the convenience of a ready-made binder for a quick meal to feed the crew. This is very pleasant (smooth, aromatic) as a creamy soup alone, but it is also the start of so many delightful hearty meals like Mack & Cheese (1 can soup, 1 can worth of milk or broth, 1 can worth of grated cheddar or 1/2 cup cheddar powder) or Cream of Chicken & Broccoli Soup (1 can soup, 1 can worth of milk or broth, 2 to 3 cups steamed chopped broccoli). This is also a good topping with shredded rotisserie chicken over pasta or rice with a steamed veggie of your choice. Bonus! This is Gluten Free (My Mom can have some!) and the Ring-Pull top makes it even faster to use when everyone is hungry. The sale price is excellent and it keeps for so long ~ the cans I just got in late 2024 are marked as good through August 12, 2026. A good item to have on hand!

Soy Free. Great soup!
Love this soup. Use it for all my recipes. I wish they didn't put SOY in all of their other products because I can't use any of the rest of them but I do love this soup that they make.

It's a healthy alternative to Campbell's
This soup is a little pricey, but has all natural ingredients and an enjoyable taste. It isn't too salty and would make a good base for a gravy or sauce.

Gluten Free Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
So many recipes call for condensed cream of mushroom soup, but so many condensed cream of mushroom soups are not gluten free. This one is gluten free. It's the only one I've found that meets the gluten free requirements. Put casseroles back on the menu! The consistency of the soup is unusual. It's quite dry straight from the can. It requires thorough mixing with equal water to reconstitute a smooth, creamy soup. There are little bits of mushroom in the soup, so the soup isn't a pure puree. How does it taste? If you want a gluten free mushroom soup, there are better, non-condensed products on the market. I've only used this in other recipes, but even my mushroom-hating husband has given them praise. The flavor is not intensely mushroom-y. It does the job of a base for other dishes quite well. Since there isn't another gluten free condensed canned cream of mushroom soup on Amazon at the time of this writing, and it gets the job done, I have to give it high marks with flying colors.

A bit bland
Unfortunately I was raised on the Big C condensed soup company's version, which had the poison MSG in it [ all of their soups do- which makes thetaste so great...argh...] So the flavor is mild/bland and lacking.Guess I need to spice it up...somehow.

Helpful for organic cooks
So many good recipes call for "cream of [xxx] soup" but Campbells and other brands have horrid ingredients. I like the ingredients in this, the ease of use in recipes, and the flavor.

Great flavor not too bold and not too light
This may be used as sauce for other meals.
